"Absolutely vile and not fit for a hotel! First time in my whole life I have ever walked out of a ‘hotel’ We walked in went to our room and husband had a panic attack. Snot and body fluids on walls sheets all marked. Urine or sweat stains all over mattress protector. It stunk to high heavens and was disgustingly. We had also prepaid for breakfast which they have refused to refund us. We then had to walk about hill looking for another hotel and were out of pocket. Please do not book and beware as...

"A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now)."

"Great for a couple stay. Stayed for birthday - hotel gifted chocolates & card was a nice touch. Hotel was clean & rooms & bathrooms were spacious. (Bathroom lighting was great when needing to do makeup for night out) Wasn’t able to check in until 3pm - wish being able to purchase early check in was a thing. "Check in and out was smooth, hotel is lovely with comfy beds. Got upgraded to a premium room which was greatly appreciated as we were staying before our going on our honeymoon next morning. Would definitely stay again. Location is great as well"

"When I turned on to the drive I was struck by the stunning tudor style building and grounds. I received a warm welcome from the friendly staff when I checked in, and clear directions on how to get to my room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The decor was a little dated, but you could argue inkeeping for the period of the property. The grounds are stunning."

"When I booked the hotel I got the impression that there was parking there. When we arrived I went into ask where the parking was I was given a map and told to park in a residential street "5 minutes walk away". There were some public parking spaces outside and opposite the hotel (only one space opposite when we arrived) but the signs indicated it was maximum of 4 hours so we did park in one of the residential streets suggested. "This property is being refurbished and during the day there is constant noise of drilling and banging. The walls of my room were vibrating from the drilling which seemed to be directly above. I received no advance warning of this work and it is not detailed in Expedia’s information about the place. The work starts promptly at 8.30 in the morning although Iheard builders moving around and talking at around 6.50am, which is unacceptable. In addition, there was no hot water on my second morning....
