"For what you’re paying I don’t believe you are getting any special 5 star experience. The staff at reception are not particularly friendly, especially when you call them from your room. That’s if you are able to get through to them, the phone is perpetually engaged. I had a tray table that was not collected for more than 24 hours which is not acceptable. The in-room dining options are very limited. Over all, I would say your front office staff needs better training on how to speak to guests. Or...

"Nothing but high praise for this hotel! Second time I’ve stayed here and it is just as good as last time. The food is superb (kudos to the chef at breakfast who makes the best scrambled eggs on the planet) From check in with the delightful Ryan to check out, all was perfect. "Apart from the noise from the bar below, which isn’t all that bad, and finished by midnight latest, this place is awesome and I would recommend to anyone. The staff are all lovely, and it’s a real piece of Australian / Perth history, with the high ceilings and origin story on the walls in the rooms. It’s also slap bang in the middle of the action so you can get about and see all the awesomeness of Perth and surrounds really easily, and it’s a great place to enjoy a drink after a long day of...

"In the midst of Perth city within minutes of everything. Lovely walks and easy to navigate."

"I requested twin beds twice – once online beforehand and again in person at check-in – but I was given a double bed. The cleaning was shoddy, and dust and mold were noticeable. Sometimes they wouldn't change the bed sheets. I will absolutely not stay here again."

"The European was a chance find and I'm so pleased I did. It is small, charming and friendly. My room had a balcony, which was such a delightful change from big hotels where you can't even open a window. Everything worked. The only thing missing was an iron for travel wrinkled clothes. The bed was very comfortable, the room spotless and the staff helpful. It will be my first choice of stay from now on when passing through Perth."
