Modern Sandy Bay Condo by the beach with community pool and pier

Breezy bright immaculate two story condo surrounded by tropical forest with four bedrooms, screened porch for relaxing or dining, a short distance from our beautiful beach, pier, and community swimming pool. We are close to the reef for snorkelling and diving and we have our own pier you can use to relax on, snorkel from, and enjoy beautiful sunsets each evening. The condo is recently renovated with modern bathrooms. Free parking is available onsite or taxis are available close by to take you to West Bay or the West End in minutes. The compound is quiet, natural, gorgeous , and very well tended.
The rental fee includes a concierge service. The Concierge is there to greet you at the property, answer any questions, provide ongoing advice, deal with unexpected problems you might encounter with the property, as well as to arrange complimentary use of the MayanPrincess Resort and Dive Centre. She will also arrange (for a nominal fee around $30 per group) airport pickup (including a stop off for groceries on the way) and return to the airport, again for a nominal fee.

Paradise at our fingertips
The area was rustic but very well maintained. The condo was comfortable and clean, it was nice to have a cool and quiet place to sleep, not the resort vibe. If issues arise they are resolved in a reasonable amount of time. The swim out to the reef for snorkeling is for a very strong swimmer, but the water is bathtub warm. For diving , Blue Island Divers is just a short walk down the beach. Make sure and have bug spray on you for beach days, otherwise the sand fleas WILL bite. This was our first time to Roatán, we were a group of 7 adults, everyone enjoyed their stay. We drove around to different parts of the island and did the touristy stuff as well. The roads are about half paved, they are however doing a lot of construction, hopefully on our next visit they will be finished with the Sandy Bay Area. We plan on staying at Sundancer again.

Great location on Sandy Bay
We just spent two weeks at this property. Vanessa, the concierge, was lovely. She was in contact before we arrived, arranged our transport, and was there to greet us when we arrived. We were four friends and we appreciated having four bedrooms. One of the upstairs bedrooms is very small and the bed needs an upgrade, but it was nice to have our own spaces. The living area is small, but serviceable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to be able to make some meals. There is a new coffee maker which worked great! The bbq, unfortunately was not working and we would have liked to cook on it. The Sundancer pool was nice to have, as well as the pier to enjoy the sea. The best part was the complimentary day passes to the Mayan Princess on West Bay. We enjoyed a meal at Lawson Rock next door and another at La Cevicheria, just up the road. There is a house being built next door, but we really weren’t bothered by the workers, they are only there during the day and we were out. Chris, the owner, gave us a lot of great information before we arrived which was very helpful!

New Year’s Eve Stay 2024
Property inside clean. Grounds surrounding unit very overgrown. View to outside/ocean obstructed, and construction of new unit to our side was definitely a problem. It hindered access to beach, the noise, it was a mess and the view from unit a disappointment. Check in was easy enough. Holiday created a little bit of a hurdle w/respect to prior guest check out, turnaround time and getting in touch w/concierge. Accuracy of listing. States it sleeps 8; however, it was not big enough to accommodate 8 people. Perhaps for sleeping (#of beds), but not enough chairs to sit in, rooms are super tiny, no place to unpack or even have a suitcase in the same room. The master room was on point, but guest room beds are a full size bed. Not a queen. The A/C worked great in all rooms! There were issues w/the ceiling fan in main room, the grill, and patio door. The handyman came to fix issues but couldn’t resolve any of them. Kitchen needs an update. Utensils, cookware, coffee pot need attention. Had big storm during stay. Island lost power. Beach was disaster. Concierge drove out to deliver flashlights for us! We spent 3-4 hrs cleaning beach just to enjoy, b/c of holiday grounds keep were off. We think. Beach chairs are actually plastic Adirondack chairs. Awkward to carry to beach while navigating construction.Bring own hammock to enjoy dock. It’s island life. We ended up embracing it all. Listing needs to be updated to reflect current status of unit/surrounding. Commun before trip A+

Great green getaway near ocean reefs
Comfortable, laid back and spacious. Loved the pool, porch, and dock access. Day and night staff on site very helpful and friendly. Quiet except for building a new house next door on weekdays. Grill didn't work, but caretaker tried very hard to fix it from a distance! New restaurants at road can blast music, but it is just far enough away to be ok. If you drive, be very careful at the driveway entrance, as the edge of the road is a drop, and the entry is very rough because of erosion.

Tropical Getaway on Roatán!
We had such an amazing 2 week stay at the Sundancer Villa! The villa had all of the essential amenities that you'd expect as well as A/C units in each bedroom and the main living/family room to keep everyone cool. Everything worked in the villa and we ended up cooking a number of meals there. The screened-in porch worked great to eat, hang out and dry swimsuits, towels and snorkeling gear and proved to be an absolute necessity. with the insects and no-see-ums that tend to bite any exposed skin. The beach was super close, maybe 300 feet or so from the villa. There is a shared wooden dock that can be accessed during your stay and others staying with the small community called Sundancer. There is also a nice, clean pool a short 3 minute walk from the villa if you don't feel like going to the beach. The dock is in need of repairs, especially the stairs that lead into the water, so be careful. There are plenty of fish that hang out below and near the dock including a barracuda that I met snorkeling. Chris provided very helpful info for us that made us very well prepared! Everything was spot-on. Vanessa (Property Mgr) was super helpful and responsive! Download whatsapp to communicate down there. We loved all the wildlife: geckos, lizards, bats, birds, land crabs, sea crabs and loads of fish. The beaches and ocean views were amazing, we even got to know the staff at Coconuts and our kids sang karaoke a few times too. We always felt safe and were sad to leave.

Tropical Getaway
We enjoyed our stay in the modern condo. On the second day we did not have electricity for the day. There was road construction on the road entering the property so transportation was a bit tricky at times and the work caused power outages a few more times. The new roads will be wonderful when they are complete. The house was comfortable for our group of six. We had to taxi to West End or Bay for dining there are only a few options close to the condo for food. When grocery shopping plan to get essentials like soap, shampoo, and conditioner they were not provided for our stay. The condo is located in a lovely community of travelers who frequent the island. That have lots of information to share and are very friendly.

We really appreciated clear and quick communication with the owner, and the concierge at site! The accommodation was large enough and perfect for our family with convienence of pool and ocean. Our family could snorkel right off the dock and see the many fish and corral! Amazing experience!
