"This historic property has a beautiful back terrace looking over a wooded area that is quite peaceful. The hotel is very accessible to other areas of DC as there is a metro stop just 2 blocks away and it is near an area with shops and restaurants."

"Breakfast line is long and often no food available. Staff is a bit rude and unfriendly. The party next to the building is making lot of noise whole night till morning.There is no lobby for car and no reason to get the valet stopping on the street that's always full. "

"Viceroy has nice rooms with basic amenities. The shower head is pretty lacking. The housecleaning staff did a good job. The front desk personnel are not very well informed. They are courteous. One of them mislead me on availability of parking. One day they had some form of jackhammer going next to my room and the receptionist did not even make an attempt to find out what it is. All I got was a shrug. I had to leave for a few hours. The good thing is that it is close to the Mall and all...

"It took a very long time for the shower to get hot. There are no hooks near the shower door to hang a robe or a towel. the vanity is a bit small to lay your towel on. You have to reach in to the back wall to turn the shower on and get wet while you try to turn the handle to the proper temp. No shower body wash only soap bars. The bed was very comfortable and the staff is great."

Not only is it luxurious and friendly, but you'll find at least 5 taxis by it at any time (a definite plus when certain Metro lines are being repaired). "Overall great hotel! Room was huge. Loved the carbonated water station. Staff was friendly. Conveniently located to a lot of things. The vanity lighting wasn't great. Room didn't have hair dryer. But it did have an umbrella. Would stay here again and just ask for hair dryer."
