"Many years ago, my wife and I had meals here when we lived in St Neots which were much enjoyed, but given we moved away from the area, it's been a long time. My daughter lives in St Neots again now and I needed a place to stay overnight. Having used Premier Inns generally, if the price was right, I decided to book, but was astounded to find they wanted £150 for a Tuesday night! I had noticed the extention on the Eaton Oak many times, and managed to get a room at a very reasonable price of £84...

"Our room was not suitable for two adults. Only one bedside table and only one seat. The placement of the plugs in the room was ludicrous, on the headboard of the bed! Window handles were too high so could not open or lock the windows! Room was very outdated and had very thin walls! Dinner was very disappointing, i was really looking forward to it but you had one choice for a starter, 3 choices for a main and a few choices for dessert, without any accompaniments like cream or ice cream. "From a value perspective, this location was excellent. Breakfast was provided, rooms were comfortable and there was a Harvester restaurant across the parking lot which worked out well when we arrived back after a long and exhausting day. The location is perfect if you are visiting Oxford, Cambridge, Bletchley Park and surroundings. Staff were wonderful!"

For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)"
