"Check-in was crazy. Only one staff who was about to cry because the key card machine wasn’t working so she had to let us and other guests in manually among other things. She was the only staff working for her first time doing a harder shift as she explained. I felt bad for her but we also had a hard day and just wanted to have a nice relaxing night stay. "We picked this hotel because we wanted something quiet, away from our neighbors and on the ground floor since we brought our dog. Pros The property was small and quaint and appeared to be kept up nicely. It was not too far from Carlsbad which is where we spent most of our time. The little kitchenette was very useful for us. "The property is super beautiful. The kind of peace and calm we are looking for. We cancelled plans just to stay and enjoy because the view was spectacular. Unfortunately we werent able to try breakfast but im pretty sure it is excellent too. The room ie very spacious and classy. Would definitely come back more often."

"I liked that they had different breakfast options everyday . I appreciated that they opened the pool and hot tub a little early when they saw my granddaughter out there ready to swim even though the gate was still locked. I told her we needed to wait, but the maintenance guy knew she was ready, so he let us in an hour early. He made a 3 year old very happy."
