"Have stayed in 4 hotels and B&B’s in Eastbourne and this is by far and away the best one I’ve stayed in. Victorian features, stain glass windows combined with a modern style. Breakfast choices were eggcelent with proper sausages and bacon, the “house” scrambled eggs was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bonus as that area of Eastbourne can be tricky to find spaces to park at night. Would definitely stay at The New England again."

"Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat."

"The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘"

"El hotel en general está muy bien. Habitación amplia y limpia, lo negativo es que ha mi habitación no llegaba la señal correctamente, eso es un punto a mejorar. Enfrente de la playa y a 10-15 minutos del Pier y del centro andando. Desayuno típico ingles, con la calidad que hay en Inglaterra. Puedes aparcar por una libra al día en los alrededores del hotel con facilidad. Personal correcto."

Dirty walls, dirty shower and bathroom, toe nail clippings on bedroom floor. Towels on every bed but 2 with stains. Floors uneven and creak. No chain on door. "The room was spacious but dated. Everything worked but was worn. The bed was 2 bed frames stuck together with a king size mattress on top. Firm sleep - not the most comfortable. Quiet property and the man running it was nice and helpful. It was cheap and cheerful and suited me ok, but would not take my wife. Location is great. 1 block from the beach and a short walk from the town centre. Overall happy with the visit."
