"Stunning property with excellent quality food and rooms. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the room and bed (standard double) were very small and hot. Couldnt kèep the window open thanks to the local boys racing up and down the seafront. We are not particularly big people but i can imagine that a larger couple would find the bed impossible to sleep in!"

An Impressive building on the seafront, and ok but some irritating things such as a 1900's lift! with concertina double doors that were very heavy to open/close. Fortunately the staff were alert to it and frequently helped out. Its Quaint but soon became annoying. " I have a few comments regarding our stay. I wasn’t expecting a five star but in some ways a 3 star was a little overrated. We were greeted by the most loveliest helpful receptionist. He was 5*. It went downhill from there I’m afraid. The room was ‘ok’ but we got what we paid for. When returning from night out the night receptionist was 1* at best. He cod barely converse. "Room was a little small and showing signs of ware and tare. Excellent breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, continental spread, hot food cooked to order and tasty. I did not try the lunch or dinner but I noticed a lack of vegetarian options. I also did not try the indoor pool or gym. I had afternoon tea there which was a bit pricey and underwhelming."

"Staff very kind helpful efficient wanted clean towels went down told re rption thrm returned directly to room ro find housekeeper with clean towels. Shame owners had let it get j to such a bad state. 1 lift only suitable for 1 1/2 persons only working lift in whole building for over a week no sign of maintenance being done."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable. On arrival, I was made to feel welcome and the hotel policies explained in a friendly manner including the WiFi password. The room was cleaned during my stay and there were complimentary amenities left in reception for guests outside of normal hours . This was a nice touch to be able to get extra milk for coffee late at night. Lovely friendly staff ,and great security . The location of the property is excellent. I would return again ."
