"A dream stay! It is the most authentic Japanese experience we could’ve ever imagined. Absolutely breathtaking room (we got the room with the private hot spring and garden) and just wow. It was our last hotel before we traveled back home and we really are grateful it was! They provide excellent service and the amenities and cleanliness is top notch. "Lovely spacious hotel with a traditional Japanese onsen. Staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, hotel does not accommodate vegetarians very well. Though there is vegetarian options for breakfast, there is nothing available at other times. Additionally they have eco housekeeping policy where they just leave fresh towels and toiletries outside your room. Any trash has to be left outside the room for it to be cleared. "

"This property is one of a kind. The staff is amazing and will do everything they can to make your stay feel special and like your the only people there. The hotel itself is beautiful from the infinity pond with the bamboo forest behind it to the walkways to your room and beyond, and the food… the food is to die for. It’s an elegant selection of many dishes"

"Room is good, but the shower room is on the ground floor same place with the hot spring, the bus stop is nearby to the train station, however there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby, you have to take the bus to get there, hotel is quite far from the train station that the bus fare is not cheap "

"This was an amazing ryokan. The food was very good, and the private onsen was incredibly relaxing. The hosts were nice and we had a great stay. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a more intimate experience than the traditional big public onsens."

Do consider that all rooms seemingly have western beds (so no futons for sleeping) even though the rooms do have tatami. Rooms very spacious and very beautiful. "Beautiful room and property! I didn'teave a 5 star review because of how the host handled and incoming Typhoon on our last night there. We called the host to ask if in the event of an emergency we could stay an extra night (and pay for it). The host told us because our room was already booked by another group that we would have to switch rooms - we were fine with that. Because it would be a new booking we wouldn't be able to check into our new room until 3pm. Even though almost all the rooms...

"The facility is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was a lot bigger than we expected. We had our first Onsen experience here and everything was just so clean and thoughtfully put together. The ambiance of Hakone Fuga in general made us feel welcome and relaxed. The location is only a short taxi ride from the Togendai stop at the Hakone Ropeway. I’ll gladly be coming back here. "
