The Alberta Escape - 2br - Awesome Location!

Cozy and welcoming 2br basement suite ideal for travelers looking to explore Portland from a walkable location with easy access to public transportation. 94 Walk Score and 100 Bike score, this is the perfect home base for those who prefer to ditch the car for a few days and enjoy all of the Alberta Arts neighborhood cafes, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, galleries & boutiques. Easy freeway access and just 15 mins by car from downtown Portland.

**Please note: Owners live onsite in main house upstairs.
*Pets allowed w/ host approval*

This is a ground floor duplex unit with a kitchenette (toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, french press, electric tea kettle, dishes/silverware) as well as a small dining area, a lounge area with a day bed that doubles as a sleeper, a big screen Smart TV, as well as 2 bedrooms - with one King and one queen bed. Plus, a full bathroom with a soaking tub.

This is perfect for a couple or small family that prefers to dine out from one of the many eateries rather than cook from home.

Upstairs occupants do have a dog. Please contact us if you have allergies or would like to discuss further.

This apartment is set up for you and you alone, so you will have sole access to the entirety of it, as well as the private side entrance. Backyard is not available for use by guests.

Nestled on a cozy, quiet and safe residential street, yet only 1 block to the charming bars, eateries and shopping of Alberta Street - this is the perfect location for any traveler! Albert Arts district is a quiet and colorful commercial area with a handful of unique bars, eateries and boutiques galore, as well as a full-service gym. Enjoy the amazing street art, as you stroll down Alberta Street - just a hop, skip and a jump from the Airbnb - and there is a beautiful park about a half mile away. It's a great location for all ages!

This is an excellent location! Graded with an impressive 94 Walk Score and 100 Bike score, this is the perfect locale for those who prefer to ditch the car for a few days and enjoy all that this beautiful and desirable area has to offer! However, for those who need to get places in their car, this is also a wonderful location! Centered between 4 highways - no more than 3 miles away - you can access downtown in about 10-20 min (traffic depending), Vancouver in 15-20 min, the Airport or Oregon Zoo in about 15 min and the desirable St. Johns District or Hawthorne Districts in about 15-20 minutes. For the public transit fans, 4 buses run every 10-15 min within under a mile of the house (#72, #17, #8, #24)

Enjoyable stay

Lovely location

It was cozy and in the perfect neighborhood. The beds wer le so comfortable. The place could use a regular size coffee pot and a wine bottle opener. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Hidden oasis

This is a large rental with nice room separation. Although I stayed by myself, this would be a great group rental. $15 lyft to Moda. $40 lyft back. I stay here due to the large number of fully vegan restaurants within walking distance. Plenty of street parking. Would love to stay here again!

Great stay, would recommend!

We stayed here on a visitor trip to Portland for vacation as a family. There were 5 of us altogether and we fit fine in this VRBO. Beds were comfortable and the place was neat and tidy. There is no hot plate or stove, so be prepared to eat out for most of your meals or eat simply with the small kitchenette they do have (including mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave etc.) the location is close to NE Alberta Street which has a lot of cool shops and restaurants. About a 15 min drive to downtown Portland which was nice and centrally located. Street parking was easy to load and unload just steps away from the door. Would stay here again 😊

Very clean and well-appointed

We all slept well and enjoyed our stay. Should point out that the wall heater in one of the bedrooms was hidden behind a heavy chair. Once we located it and moved that chair we were quickly able to warm up the space.

Nice space, ineffective Property Management

The space was clean and cute; was a basement of a house. Due to the space being a basement, it was freezing. Main wall heater was inoperable, first night I froze and I finally found the wall heater in the bedroom behind a couch! Second night was so hot since I cranked it. Instructions on using them would be nice. Property Management made promises but didn’t deliver on them (owners should review my communications with them). I was talking to multiple people, I’m sure. I paid good money for mediocre service. The owners should hold the Property Management accountable.

Great place and felt safe too!

Great location just 1 block to all the shops and eats in Alberta St. this is an awesome neighborhood!! Cute little space with 2 nice rooms and everything you need for a comfortable stay. This area is much safer and less sketchy than down town areas. When I come back I’d want to stay here again for sure 💯

Excellent location, well appointed, cozy

Really great place in the heart of the action. Super quiet, shockingly so. Nice little neighborhood. At first my wife called the place "the dungeon". She finds fault in all our vacation rentals. Didn't take more than a day before she was comfortable and loved "the dungeon". Everything about the listing is accurate, really wonderful little place to stay.

There was an electric issue and we had no hot water, lights, or heat when we arrived. The management said “sorry for the inconvenience”and told ME to call maintenance. They brought us a space heater and that’s it. We should have stayed in a hotel.
