"Excellent little getaway spot! The cabin is adorable, well-decorated, and well stocked with offline activities. The little AC unit really puts in work and we were never sweaty. The location does a great job of placing you in a perfect viewing location for birds, turtles, and butterflies. We were able to walk over to the winery fairly easily."

"Great communication and ideal location. Was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. We only stayed one night and it was perfect. We were traveling from Ohio to the Outer Banks. We will be stopping here each time we make that trek. I would recommend this location to anyone."

"The worst part was having to leave. Home is beautiful, clean, and more than enough space. Kathy was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything we needed. That front porch…….. was great for morning coffee and mimosas and evening cocktails. Convenient location and walking distance to many shops and restaurants! Thanks so much…we had a great stay!"

"This was an awesome place to stay close to Fredericksburg. We did not notice any of the issues outlined in previous reviews. Beds were comfortable, house was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay here quite a bit. Communication with the host was hassle free and the check in process was easy. We would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area. "

"Ideal - spectacular were descriptions I received when I asked family what review to give. We recently stayed at Carter House four days mid-September for a family reunion. Eight adults stayed at the house and 10 local family members visited. Large play area in basement was perfect for the children. "Perfect location and perfect property! The condo was great for our anniversary! The furnishings and amenities were top notch! We would go back again 100%. Recommend renting a golf cart.
