Had an amazing stay at Port Douglas Outrigger. Within easy walking distance to everything and Amanda and Peter are fantastic provoding great local knowledge, even remembering my kids names when they seen them. Will definitely stay again when I am next in Port Douglas

Great location and it was nice and clean. Amanda and Peter were great and assisted us when we needed it the most, extremely helpful. Thank you for making our first trip to Port Douglas such a memorable and enjoyable time, we loved it.

Lovely midrange accommodation in Port Douglas. Kids loved the pool and bbq by the pool was great option, pool open until 10pm. Food and sundries left by previous guests were offered to incoming guests which was a nice touch. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Able to walk to everything in Port Douglas.

Couples getaway

The outrigger was amazing, the apartment was spacious very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Location was perfect it is quiet but only 5 minute walk to town. Peter and Amanda made us feel very welcome, they are very knowledgeable about places to eat and tours to do, which they are more than happy to organise for you. The pool was amazing and not to cold. Highly recommend.

Amanda and Peter were great! Loved how they take care of you! The apartment had a lovely home feel to it. So it was lovely to come back and feel at ease at the end of the day there. Loved the communal sharing of things left by prior visitors. The recommendations from Amanda with tours to take was spot on! Thoroughly enjoyed them all. What a great trip and made my bucket list complete with the Great Barrier Reef! Thank you! Best of luck with it going forward, not that you’ll need it!

Perfectly placed. Great place to stay

Enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable week at Outrigger. Perfectly placed with an easy walk to town, beach and harbour it is still in a very quiet area. Amanda and Peter were great in helping us know where to go and booking tours through them was easy and handled professionally. They advised us when we’re good and bad times for certain tours and the best providers to use. Our apartment was great. Spacious, very clean and great amenities. Everything you need. Bed and pillows extremely comfortable. They also run a community fridge where people leave all sorts of commodities like sauces and oils that are unfinished and save you buying. Great book library to.. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Port Douglas Outrigger and would recommend it to friends and come back again. Peter and Amanda are lovely and helpful hosts. The crocodile cruise they booked us on was great too. The pool is heated so it’s really pleasant to swim in during winter but still refreshing. The “leftovers” fridge of communal items was super helpful for our self catering, not having to buy sauces, salad dressings and condiments to uplevel our home meals was perfect. The apartments are compact but contain everything you need. The location is perfect - really easy to walk downtown and we barely used our hire car while here, in fact you can easily not have a car in Port Douglas unless you want to do independent travel to various sites.

A week in Port Douglas

The Outrigger was a great location to stay in Port Douglas. Only 5 minutes' walk to the central shopping center and the marina. The rooms were clean and spacious plus it was not too big so it remained quiet. The pool was at a good temperature - not too hot or cold and clean. The managers were a great source of information and very friendly. We had a great time the only downer was the weather was not all that perfect but we cannot blame the Outrigger for that!!

Awesome midrange family appartments. Good-sized balcony, washing / drying in bathroom, decent kitchen, good parking. Wifi sucked (thank God!). Great hosts / managers. Five minute walk to centre of town, yet quiet. Pool good enough for kids to love. Definitely not a luxury pricepoint. We'll be back.
