The Space:

Crew Rest is a cozy 2 bedroom, 2 bath house, that sleeps 10 and is only 1 block from the beach. You'll love listening to the sound of the waves from the furnished deck, and the beach is only a 2 minute walk!



The living area has 2 comfy queen sleeper sofas and flat-screen television. The kitchen features a huge island, a microwave, dishwasher, a full complement of cookware, a regular drip coffeemaker, dishes, glasses and utensils. The washer and dryer are conveniently located next to the kitchen. You'll also find some games, puzzles, books and DVDs for family time, and high speed internet for your devices.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has twin bunk beds and a full size futon.



The deck has a gas grill, large picnic table, and features a peek a boo view of the beach AND a gorgeous view of the sunset. There is a double outdoor shower downstairs for rinsing off after a day with your toes in the sand.



Your dogs are allowed with a pet fee. Larger dogs are allowed at this property. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

went good checked in on Friday and about 3:00 am power shut off till Saturday and had to leave no power so we left at about 3:00 pm . Lost a day with out refund for last day staying . Other than that it went well

Good but not great

We've rented many homes through VRBO before. This is the first time the description.was misleading. Apparently there was a linen package, $100 plus tax for linens but there was no option when booking the reservation and it was not mentioned in the description either. Only until after I booked the house then it was mentioned in the confirmation email. Also, the cinfirmation email stated that check out was before 4, which i thought it was weird but it was actually before 11. Other than that the house is small and cozy and perfect location.

Good family home

We liked the property as far as location and layout. The amenities were fine... Although the no linens issue is a bummer. We had to bring all sheets and towels. However, the only real negative was that beds were all terrible. All the beds need a new mattress, mattress pad and comforter.

Perfect Getaway

The check in process was very easy. The house smelled great and for the most part was very clean. It had everything we needed for a nice fun relaxing weekend at the beach. It rained the first day so the games and movie’s definitely came in handy. We will definitely book again!

Cute house, good location

The cleaning and up keep could be improved. Mattress covers need washed after each stay. You could tell they have not been cleaned in some time. We also found cards and trash under the rug in living room. They only other thing to note is the air conditioner seemed to freeze up and we could not get it below 79 in the house. However, the kitchen was stocked and enjoyed the house overall.

Amazing house close to the beach!

The house was adorable and only a few blocks from the beach. The house was set up perfect for our family and the decorations were really cute for the beach. The house was not stocked with anything though. That was the hardest part. If there would have been trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, even 1 roll, would have been nice. The sink sponge was moldy and there was dog hair all over the couch. Besides that we really enjoyed it. We rented a golf cart and that was so fun to ride it on the beach and transport all of our stuff. Overall great place and fun to explore crystal beach.

Quick Get Away With Family

Thank You!! We really enjoyed our stay!! The house was extremely comfortable for our family of 8. I loved the long island in the kitchen , it was easy to set up a buffet style of eating for our. The main grocery store was only 10mins away. We had plenty of seating in the house and outside on the porch. Our family enjoyed the games provided and the hammock too. The Beach was only a 5 minute walk away. We had a great time playing in the water. We had a wonderful beach fire enjoying s’mores , more games, and just listening to the waves come in. Thank You again for letting us enjoy your house!! We will be back!!

The worse time EVER

Our family was singled out by the management office, the sheriffs and the neighbors clearly because we were the only Mexican family around because other people had loud parties all night long and were driving with their Jeeps fast and with loud music and they tried to kick us out, they kept harassing us. We decided to leave a day early because my parents were highly concerned to the point my mother had to be taken to the hospital the night we arrived home. They kept sending a guy to the house to tell us we had too many people which we didn't and that the noise was loud when while he was standing there two houses down you could hear the music which I pointed out and he ignored it. These people are prejudice and I am fully disappointed and lost a lot of money to have a nice weekend for my dad; it turnout to be a disaster. In fact, a lawsuit is coming their way for harassing my family and making my mother go to the hospital because of her blood pressure thanks to them.

COVID-Staycation

The property was as described. Upon arrival, be CERTAIN to get the full address. The address the rental agency provided had several options in such a small place. We went to the wrong location first, luckily it is not a big peninsula - so not too inconvenient. COVID strikes - bring your own TP! ;-) One roll for the entire house... be warned. This time of year... mosquitoes and fire ants... had to battle them the entire time - joys of Texas and not the property owners fault - I'd recommend bringing yard spray or something to help with them. Late night fireworks was also an issue... well past 10 pm, that was relaxing - NOT! Grill hasn't been cleaned in weeks... so we didn't use it as planned. Decent property, decent house. Likely not to return due to the above items... will likely find another location to find some peace and quiet.

Great location with all the amenities. Well stocked kitchen, great layout for large groups. We had a wonderful vacation and already planning our next visit! Only thing missing was WiFi .
