"We had a great time. We were there for three weeks. The pool was beautiful warm and clean the properties. Very pretty many plantings everywhere. Even the animals hung around once in a while. We’re very friendly purring cat on your lap on vacation is kind of cool. Our host Barbara was very attentive to our needs and questions about Aruba. "This place is a complete scam. They take your money but don’t actually secure your booking. When we showed up to the address, it looked like an abandoned rehab center with people wandering around inside a locked gated fence. There was no proper front desk—just a gate where you have to call someone to even attempt to check in.
The man who answered was extremely rude. He kept repeating that check-in was at 4 PM, even though my flight had been delayed by a full day. I had already paid for Friday...

"When we come to Aruba we usually stay Marriott. This time we decided to try Joia. It’s a new hotel. But that’s where the good things stopped. If you come to the beach too early no umbrellas or chairs are put out. Usually they’re starting to do that after 8-8:30 am. Also, if you didn’t come early enough the staff puts towels on the chairs claiming it’s for members only. So if that’s the case it should be advertised as such hotel. For members of some club only. Apparently if you paid $1,000.00...

"Room was fine. The food needs a total overhaul. The buffet was uninspiring, cold items, not much variety. The four restaurants seem to be “filled” every night and no reservations were left but when you walked my there were so many empty tables. Why? The pool is small and can never get a chair. People leave towels on the chairs and don’t use them until early afternoon. This is unacceptable. Lounges for the beach need to be replaced, many are broken and they just aren’t comfortable. "

"This is an excellent place to stay in Aruba. Its very close to the beach. The property is very clean inside and out. The rooms are very spacious. Three spacious rooms with 3 1/2 bathrooms. You really cant beat that. Comes with washer, dryer, oven, dishwasher, microwave, and two balconies. Includes 4 beach chairs and beach towels. I will stay here every time I come back to Aruba. The property is very close to shops and dining. Wish I could give this place place 10 stars. I highly recommend it!!!"

The birds are a problem when it comes to eating outside. The pool is beautifully maintained which is why it surprises me that they do not pay as much attention to deck and lounge chairs. We had to wipe bird dropping off of every lounge chairs we sat in. "

"I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times (5–6 visits) and always had a great experience, which is why this situation is so disappointing.
I was charged for a restaurant bill at 7:09 AM on the day of my arrival, even though my flight landed at 1:55 PM — clearly impossible.
I contacted both accounting and management and provided full proof, but no one has responded for 10 days.
It appears a simple mistake was made, but instead of resolving it, they are ignoring the issue. Very disappointing...

"A perfect spot if you feel like you want an escape away from the busy tourist areas. You will need a car, but it is nicely centrally located so it felt easy to visit attractions on every corner of the island. The hosts were very communicative, but also felt like I had total privacy. The kitchenette was nice for basic cooking. Plunge pool was a very nice touch. Overall a great value!"
