  • The Capanna is a small independent cottage in the middle of the woods, but just 20 km away from the center of Florence. It is part of a medieval property called Castellare, that includes private woods, meadows and olive trees. It's a lovely location for recharging onself in nature, in a home that is furnished with love, and with the comforts that make a stay at home enjoyable. The Capanna has one bedroom, a bathroom, and an open space that is a kitchen , dining aera and living room. There is also a sofabed for two people.
    There is a patio outside the livingroom door with table and chairs, and the swimming pool, shared with the other guests of the Castellare property, is just a few steps away.
    The Capanna is a medieval cottage, in a fairy tale location.
    There are two small villages nearby, Santa Brigida and Molino del Piano, and Florence is a short drive away.

Traumhafte Lage in der Natur, nahe bei Florenz

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber; traumhafte Lage im Wald, oben auf dem Berg, nahe Florenz; ideal, um mit dem Auto die Toskana zu erkunden (oder per Bahn ab Sieci, z.B. nur 23 min. bis Florenz).

Heerlijk rustig gelegen vakantieadres

Rustieke oude boerderij op een heuveltop. De weg ernaartoe gaat met een aantal haarspeldbochten op een onverharde eigen weg. Complex is opgedeeld in een woonhuis voor de eigenaars en daarbij wat vroeger wellicht schuren of stallen waren voor de verhuur. Ontzettend aardige verhuurders, contact verloopt soepel, netjes. Midden in de natuur. Heel nice

Toskana mal anders

Wir verbrachten eine wunderbare Woche zwischen Natur und Kultur. "Castellare" ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen, mitten im Wald, großer Garten, jedes Ferienhaus/Fewo mit eigener Terrasse, großer Pool - und vor allem die herzliche Gast-freundschaft von Catina und Giacomo, ohne jede Aufdringlichkeit. Und dann ist man mit Auto und Regionalbahn in weniger als 1 Std. in Florenz, liegen Fiesole, Lucca, Pisa nicht weit weg. Und freut sich nach dem touristischen Getriebe abends wieder auf die Ruhe in Castellare. Ein Wanderweg führt übrigens am Grundstück vorbei, wenn man mal 1 Tag etwas mehr Bewegung braucht. Und die Dörfer der Umgebung sind ursprünglich, nicht von Touristen, sondern vom Alltag des Rufino, der nördl. Toskana geprägt. Wir waren und sind begeistert.

Echte Idylle für Naturliebhaber

Die romantische Capanna die wir bewohnt haben steht unweit des Haupthauses in einem privaten Waldgrundstück. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Catina empfangen die uns mit einem selbst gebackenen Kuchen und Wein begrüßt hat und uns viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants gegeben hat. Wir haben zu zweit in der sehr liebevoll, gemütlich und zweckmäßig eingerichteten Hütte gewohnt. Die Hütte hat eine Wohnküche die mit Küchenzeile, Esstisch, Sofa und Sesseln ausgestattet ist, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, Kleiderschrank und Ablagemöglichkeiten und ein Bad mit WC, BD, Dusche und Waschmaschine und bietet genügend Platz für zwei Personen mit Gepäck. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind vorhanden. Auch wenn das Haus im Wald steht, ist es gepflegt und sauber gehalten. Es gibt einen Holzofen für kühle Tage und eine kleine Terrasse für die warmen Tage. Am Abend kommen Rehe sogar ganz nah an die Terrasse. Man wohnt in echter Ruhe mitten in der Natur und die tierlieben und warmherzigen Vermieter stehen mit Rat und Tat sowie Tipps für Ausflüge und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gern zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt, konnten hier sehr gut entspannen und haben die Zeit absolut genossen.

Un écrin de verdure aux portes des chefs-d'œuvre de la Renaissance. Le lieu est merveilleux et dégage une quiétude qui apaise dès l'arrivée. Catina et Jack sont des hôtes adorables, une belle rencontre.Nous reviendrons dans ce petit paradis

Absolutely fantastic

We had the most wonderful stay of two weeks. Catina and Jack are wonderful hosts and immediately there to help at any time of the day or night. If you are looking for an absolutely remote location in the nature this is a great place. Especially in August when it is much cooler in the hills than in the villages. Thank you Catina!

Fantastic!

This was exactly what we had hoped it would be. Away from the chaos of the tourist areas, in beautiful countryside, an interesting building to stay in, and a fantastic host. Catina is warm and friendly and she and her partner Giacomo are the perfect hosts. Their wine and cake on arrival and homemade tiramisu later in the week were 👌🏻! They made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating to our young baby. We would love to come back!

Wonderful Host - Charming Cottage

My husband and I stayed with Catina for a week earlier this month. Catina is a very personable and hospitable. We love her and hope to remain in contact. The cottage that we stayed in was very charming and spotless. The scenery on the drive up to the cottage was outstanding and we got to see some deer on the property. We would definitely stay with Catina again!!

Relax

We had a wonderful family holiday in this exceptional accommodation. Catina is a great host and had a warm welcome for us with delicious wine and cake. Castellare is a peaceful paradise up in the hills not far away from Florence, with beautiful nature, carefully and individual decorated appartments and a fantastic pool. We appreciated Catina's local recommodations and didn't miss anything. Wish to come back some day. Katja&Jens with kids.

Beautiful, unspoiled, remote

Catena and her husband have an incredible property with the charm of a medieval setting and the convenience of being close to a train station to get into Florence without difficulty. Any question or concerns are dealt with quickly and efficiently.You do need access to a car to get to the property. Catena is warm and engaging, and she and her husband live on the property. For my husband and I, it was an ideal honeymoon situation.....

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mitten in der Natur

Das kleine Haus im toskanischen Stil, wundervoll eingerichtet, mit vielen Details, lag mitten in der Natur. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hat uns zur Begrüßung einen Kuchen gebacken. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten in Siena, Pisa, Arezzo usw.waren alle in ein bis eineinhalb Stunden zu erreichen. Nach Florenz ging es ganz bequem ab Sieci mit dem Zug (20 Min.). Es war ein toller Urlaub.

A wonderful relaxing place to stay

From the moment we arrived at Castellare owner Catina couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome cake she had baked for us and a bottle of a local red wine. We stayed in the beautiful little cottage Capanna which is just perfect for a couple. It has a lovely kitchen with everything you need, beautifully decorated lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Castellare is so quiet and peaceful, the swimming pool is in its own secluded part of the grounds, easy to relax your day away. The closest supermarket is about a 10 minute drive, but for a much bigger supermarket drive a little further to Pontassieve. It is also perfect as a base to visit the many local cities of Florence, Siena, Pisa and Bologna. We were lucky enough to meet three lovely families in the other properties that make up Castellare, they have all visited on previous occasions. We had such a fantastic time we will certainly return in the near future. All in all Castellare is just an amazing place to stay..

Großartige Location und Gastgeber - la dolce Vita

Wir verbrachten zwei herrliche Wochen mit unserem Hund Paul bei Catina und Giacomo. Natur pur und die Nähe zu Florenz, welche wir ausgiebig genutzt haben, sind eine großartige Kombination. Die Capanna ist liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert - es hat an nichts gefehlt, vom Willkommenskuchen von Catina bis zum Abschieds-Olivenöl :-). Die in Catinas, liebevoll zusammengestellten, Informationsordner genannten Restaurants und Pizzerien sind alle zu empfehlen.

Toscaanse paradijselijkheid?

Niet te ver van Florence is er een plek waar bomen, vogels en zonnestralen de setting bepalen: Catina's place. De plek biedt gerief en gemak. Het is een plek, waar je na een dag genieten van Florentijnse culturele rijkdom en de Toscaanse vergezichten, het goed toeven is. Kortom wij hebben volop genoten!! Bert en Gerlien

Peace & tranquility

or at least it was until we arrived with our 1 year old. Apologies to the other guests staying if they could hear us, luckily we were staying in Capanna, which is set apart from the main farmhouse. Dont let the photos of Capanna fool you. She is small, but perfectly formed & the high ceilings make it feel much bigger. It has everything you need, including a washing machine. I love the decoration detail, especially the ceiling branch light! Catina had set up a travel cot for our daughter in the bedroom, which had plenty of space. Anyone staying with a toddler should note that there is a step down from living room to bedroom/bathroom which is fairly big but once we'd taught the little one to sit down to get down it she was fine but if your toddler has only just learnt to walk or still crawling then you might want to take a travel gate (we had one but didnt feel the need to use it in the end). I think the property description says the shower is over a bath but it is just a shower cubicle, this didnt matter to us as the sink in the bathroom is huge & we used that to bath our daughter. We arrived pretty late at night but Catina had waited up to make sure we got there safely & had very kindly got a few essentials from the shop for us (milk & bread, etc.). Plus she had made a delicious lemon & ricotta cake which didnt last long haha (Catina, yes please can I have the recipe?) You do absolutely need a car (I would recommend people read a little about driving in Italy before going). If you are hiring one then try to get one that is more than 1.2 engine, ours really struggled up the Tuscan hills. We got the train from Sieci into Florence a couple of times which was very quick & easy. We managed to park in the main station car park both times, which is free. I can definitely recommend the wine shop in Molino del piano (Chianti on tap for €3.50 a bottle!), we took a few bottles home with us. We also visited Castello del Trebbio which was very nice. Overall I would recommend Castellare for anyone wanting a quiet, secluded holiday that has easy access to all the beauty & culture of Florence plus yummy cheap wine!

toller urlaub in einer wunderschönen lage

nach einem etwas holprigen weg zum wunderschön gelegenen Steinhaus und einem sehr herzlichen Empfang der Eigentümerin haben wir 14 tage erholsamen urlaub in einer wunderschönen gegend die kaum zu beschreiben ist verbracht. es war im hause alles vorhanden was man braucht hätte mir 2 liegesrühle gewünscht ansonsten ist dieses haus sehr liebevoll und stilvoll eingerichtet. der pool hat eine klasse für sich. wir kommen auf jeden fall wieder denn in 14 tagen kann man nicht alles sehen. denn die orte die man anfahren kann schaft man nicht in 4 tg.besonders die alten und historischen dörfer und städte.
