"This property is perfectly situated on Cape Breton. It faces the wayer (big windows) in Kitchen, dining area, living area and bedroom. It is spotless. The kitchen is extremely neat and organized. The fridge was spotless and no odor. Yhe dining area(open to the kitchen) is all windows. The master bedroom and bath were nicely decorated, Bed was extremely comfortable. "Wonderful experience for our group of 5 adults. Beautiful views, great deck for morning coffee.And we were greeted by seals floating in the water near the house, in the morning. The tea drinker in the group was grateful for the teapot in the kitchen. Very responsive owner/manager. He answered questions immediately. Property is steps from an 80 acre nature preserve which we took full advantage of. Just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. !"

"My family and I loved our stay. The cottage is cute with a beautiful view of the sea from the deck. I walked to the beach several times each day and enjoyed the amazing scenery. Nearby Chéticamp is quaint and has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The Cape Breton Highlands National Park offers breathtaking views from your car and even more to explore and see on its hiking trails. We would definitely stay here again."

"Lovely spacious living area. Nicely laid out floor plan, 3 bedrooms at end of hallway. Well-appointed kitchen with Keurig and Nespresso machines, all cooking necessities such as pots and pans, plastic wrap, salt pepper oil. Comfortable beds and crisp cotton bedding very nice. Smallish rooms no closets no drawers to store clothes. There is a clothes rack with hangers, but no suitcase bench, basically put your suitcase on the floor and live out of it. Plenty of towels. No curtains or shades, no...

"My family has stayed at this location in 2019 and very much enjoyed it. It is located near a few beaches and near our local family which was a big plus again this trip. We were able to visit family and catch up and then not overwhelm them with the 5 of us. It was a great place to enjoy the area. Lots of visits to the local beaches. Just remember there is only 1 bathroom. Not a big deal for us as we knew this going up there and we just communicated and it was not an issue. Thank you for offering...

"We enjoyed our stay in the very cute Old Salt Cottage! It was very convenient to adventures in and north of Cape Breton park. Beds were comfy. Cottage is older but well maintained and freshly updated. Gas, groceries, and other convenience stores were not as close, but we were warned (it was not hard to remember to get stuff while we were out adventuring on the Cabot Trail). We would absolutely stay here again!"
