"It's a very nice hotel with plenty of charm and a really nice location. Cruise ships and other large ships come right past and it's not far of a walk to the main beach area and Pleasure Beach and was nice and quiet for our stay. Hard to fault the hotel in general. Breakfast was very nice as well. Staff were friendly. The rooms were roomy and looked nice but unfortunately the pieces didn't add up to what I had hoped for. It was a hot weekend and fortunately quiet so we could have the window...

"Our room was very basic and not very well decorated. The bathroom was awful. Mould everywhere. Stains on bath that must of been there for years. Toilet didn’t flush properly. I didn’t use it as so bad. We didn’t get into late so too tired to change rooms and didn’t notice it until the next day. I contacted Adham hotel group twice but no reply. There was also missing plaster on the stairs. I have photos."

"Staff were great and breakfast was fine. Our room was yet to be redecorated but was ok. Bathroom mirror light/socket not working, and bed a bit creaky, but prob because of that. Overall we felt it was good value for the price."

"When we arrived we were told our room was no longer available due to a 'maintenance issue' so had to book somewhere else at the last minute. The lady that we spoke to was nice and did say they had tried to contact us during the day about the situation. However, checking the message we found in Expedia, it was only sent an hour before we arrived late afternoon. Not helpful when you are driving long distance. Might be a one off but, obviously, have to score the hotel low in this instance."

"Unfortunately we were unable to stay at the Longship. We arrived after our concert to a closed pub. In the write up it states check in after 2pm with no end time, it also states to communicate with the property for late check in to arrange access no one responded. Please change the wording in the advert to explain better checking in only in pub hours."
