I can't begin to tell how nice this place is. ( I will try... though )
For us this hotel was a stretch $$$ wise, but after researching I thought what the heck, we'll make up for it by walking everywhere.
And saving on stays at the secured playa's across the street.
I was right on both accounts, the location is as magnificent as the weather was for our 2 week stay.(barely a cloud in the sky)

"I don’t usually do reviews but had to do one for this hotel.
We stayed here for 7 nights, the hotel is beautiful, clean and the location is wonderful, it has a beautiful rooftop terrace with a restaurant and a wonderful view of the Malaga cathedral. It’s perfectly located in the Old Town and is walkable to great restaurants, shopping and the beach. The staff are amazing, every one of them were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also very good.
If I had to pick anything negative to say it...
"All around the property was clean and tidy. The staff couldn't do enough for us and very helpful. The food was always plentiful and delicious. The staff were very knowledgeable on food intolerance and plenty of options for us to eat."

"Casa der la Merced liegt am Ende einer langen Strasse der Altstadt Malagas, in der Nähe der Plaza de la Merced, wo in 1 Gehminute Taxis rund um die Uhr zur Verfügung stehen. Unser Appartment war im Hintergebäude , sehr ruhig, neben der ältesten Kirche Malagas. Die Unterkunft ist einbandfrei sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich, alle Infos zu Geräten im Zimmer erhältlich. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind perfekt alles liegt in 1 Gehminute Entfernung: EC-Automat, Supermarkt, Apotheke, Bars,...

Very friendly helpful staff. Quickly provided coffee etc that were missing in room.

Spacious comfortable room with lovely views over main shopping area
Accomodation only slightly let down (again) by the bathroom. Narrow access into bathroom, shower not easilly turned on from outside meaning fighting with cold water. Toiletries all looked the same - specs wearer unable to identify without glasses.

"I've been to Malaga a few times, and this is by far the best hotel (and it's not the most expensive) we've stayed in. Lovely rooms, great big bathrooms, fantastic location for the beach and the old town, and the best rooftop bar / restaurant / pool with fantastic views. Definitely recommend! "

1. Nach der Eingabe der 4-stelligenKode auf der Bedienungstafel an der Tür muss man das Häckchen drücken "V" !!! . Das wurde nicht in der Anweisungen beschrieben.
2. Es gibt keine Vorrichtung zum Aufhängen der Wäsche .
3. Es gibt keinen Aschenbecher auf der Terrasse.

"Petit balcon agréable. La piscine sur le toit nous a permis de se rafraîchir avant d'aller souper. Très bien situé, nous avons pu aller à la plage et dans les principaux attraits touristiques à pieds."
"I really enjoyed the apartment – it’s spacious, well-equipped, and located in a great area. The host was friendly and arranged everything we needed for a comfortable stay .
The only downside was the humidity in the apartment. There’s a noticeable damp smell that might be due to moisture issues, especially when the place is closed up. It would be great if this could be addressed in the future.
Overall, I had a great stay and have even booked it again for summer. I hope the issue with humidity...
