"Good location if you have a car. Lovely staff, great pool with steamroom and sauna. Breakfast is really good and plentiful! Not too many reatautant options in the area, but like I said, if you have a car it's great."

"The front desk was welcoming upon our arrival, suggesting tours, activities and Madeira wine tasting. The lodge is below a tall mountain ridge and receives sun in late day. The breakfast is a 100m walk from our room. House keeping left the sliding glass door to our room open and some ants joined us; prompt service from the front desk resolved the issue. The room furniture was basic but largely comfortable. The room was relatively large. Check out was easy and efficient."

"Fantastic breakfast buffet, glorious views from the Junior Suite. Ventilation in the room was poor though - the Aircon was a little underpowered. The beds were huge, but provide little back support. Wonderful location, perfect for both relaxing holidays and hiking holidays. I will return one day."

"The hotel natural estate was beautiful, the grounds were in there own gardens , the staff very friendly , everything so clean and helpful. Everything was exceptional. The restaurant was very interesting and good , breakfast was so delightful with all the fruits and choices to eat. It is a 5 star excellent hospitality. The outside pool was lovely as well as indoor spa. Not hot but refreshing. "

"Beautiful hotel and grounds! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food! A wonderful all inclusive experience. We had a beautiful room with an extra large balcony with partial view. Room was always cleaned daily and towels changed. We enjoyed the location, the ample parking and the grounds. Kids enjoyed the heated pool and we all enjoyed the buffet, kulinarium restaurant and the evening shows. We are already planning our next trip there! "We couldn’t fault this hotel. Good location. Room was spacious, cleaned daily. Lovely rooftop with great views over Funchal which includes a spacious pool area /bar / restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed on half board, great choice at buffet breakfast. Dinner was a lovely three course, which we enjoyed every night during our five night stay. Would highly recommend."
