"Very clean, older hotel giving old school San Francisco vibes and charm. On a busy street but in a nice neighborhood, super close to the presidio and within walking distance of the bay. We stayed for two nights and don’t use the kitchen, but it was clean and functional. Other than the kitchen, not much in the way of amenities, at least compared to the bigger union square hotels. "So overall this is a good place to stay if you're just looking for a bed. But I do think it's in need of an update overall. The carpet smelled dingy, the tv had no remote, the showerhead was full of calcium, and the stairway area smelled like pee. But the area was quiet and my neighbors did not make noise. It could use brighter lights and better furniture as well. Overall I don't regret staying here but the staff could make changes that can make the stay so much better"
