Welcome to Bear Pause! We are ready for your visit! Perfect for families or multiple couples, this chalet is in a beautiful setting just 1 mile from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.

With room to sleep up to 9 people, the house features an open concept main level with a den, kitchen and dining room. The den has a large flat screen tv, plenty of seating, decor, a gas fireplace, and lots of windows to enjoy the outdoor view. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, dishes, utensils, cookware, all the small appliances you need for a gourmet meal. The dining area seats 6 comfortably with additional seating at the kitchen bar. The main level also includes a bedroom with a full bath.

Downstairs there is a game room with a pool table and two of the four bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms in the chalet feature incredibly comfortable mattresses, luxury linens and flat screen TV’s. There are 4 decks for outdoor entertaining — One with a hot tub and another with a fire pit and a gas grill.

Upstairs is a large, private master suite with a king bed. The bath has double vanities and a walk in shower.

There is off road parking for up to 4 vehicles, cable and high speed internet, and a washer and dryer.

We are located one mile from the intersection of the Parkway and Wears Valley Rd...easy access to all attractions. 1.4 miles to The Island, 3.3 miles to the Tanger Outlets, 3.2 miles to The Ripken Experience, and 5 miles to Dollywood...You are within minutes of everything!

We hope that you will visit our chalet when you plan a trip to the mountains!

Really nice place to stay. Really close to all attractions but secluded enough to make you feel alone. Owners were very nice and easy to get in touch with. They decorated for Christmas which made it feel like home. Pool table, game machine and hot tub so your never board. We were very happy and this home is definitely on our list!

We had the most AMAZING stay at Bear Pause! The cabin is super close to everything literally just 4 minutes off the strip in Pigeon Forge. With that being said it was so secluded and private. Even with cabins around it we felt off on our own. The cabin is beautiful. Very well maintained and super clean. There were so many extras we did not even expect. Spices, k-cups, tons of extra blankets. The hot tub was incredibly clean and so much fun to enjoy. We had one little mishap when we checked in with one of the bedroom doors being locked. I reached out to the owners via text and even though they were enjoying their vacation they took time to help us out. They were so sweet and very helpful. We will 100% return to this cabin and have already recommended it to friends. The kids enjoyed the arcade game and pool table, WIFI is strong. Do not sleep on the fire pit outside. We loved having early morning coffee with it on. This was an incredible trip and the cabin was a massive part of it.

I would highly recommend Bear Paws. The house is wonderful. It has three floors. There was eight of us, but the house is so roomy you aren’t cramped up. The grandchildren loved the hot tub and all of the downstairs items to play with. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Bear Pause was the perfect cabin for our family! It’s just off the main road on a quiet dead end by the woods. It was peaceful and private without steep drives or being too far from town.The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable for our group of six. While the gathering areas were a bit smaller than they appeared in photos, it worked just fine for us. We especially loved spending time in the basement playing pool and the arcade game. The multiple decks were a great for privacy and enjoying your morning coffee.It was too hot to use the hot tub this trip, but we’ll look forward to it next time! The cabin was also very family-friendly. We greatly appreciated the pack n play for my 20 month old so we didn't have to bring one. We did bring our own baby gate because there's no door to the upstairs staircase and we wanted to keep her from climbing up the stairs.We also recommend bringing coffee or K Cups (only decaf was provided), travel blackout curtains (helpful for naps and sleeping in), and extra trash bags. The only trash bags there were those already in the bins when we arrived.Everything in the cabin worked as expected (the AC was wonderful during the heat!), and check-in was smooth. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a cozy mountain getaway close to town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Pause. We were there attending the Ripken Experience with our son. The location was perfect. Close to everything we needed or wanted to do. It was very clean and roomy for our family of six. Owners were very responsive to our questions. We even had a bear sighting. we would definitely stay here again.

Great location, very nice rental

We had an amazing stay, the home is just as listed. Ms. Tracy responded quickly to a small issue with the hot tub and had someone there first thing the next morning. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful place

The house was clean and so comfortable. After a hectic day with a 2 year old running around Pigeon Forge, it was a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. It was minutes away from anything we wanted to do, and the Bear theme was present throughout the house, which was also fun with a young child. Would definitely stay there again

Nice home & Great location

It's a great location right off of Wears Valley Road near the main parkway. The home was clean and had all amenities needed. We loved the pool table, arcade game, and hot tub. The host is friendly and quick to respond. Great place to stay.

Family vacation

We stayed for a short adults weekend and everything was nice. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub and plenty of room for our group of 8 adults. Close access to pigeon forge. We're very satisfied.

Thanksgiving getaway

The house was nicely decorated for Christmas…very cozy! We were a party of 8 with a toddler and thought the space was adequate for our needs. No complaints…property was as depicted and exceeded expectations. Hosts responded promptly. We would definitely stay again!
