Almost there
The house is clean, and the beds are decently comfortable. However, the house is lacking in things that make it comfortable for people staying for more than one night. For example: There are no hooks in the rooms or bathrooms to hang anything, no fan or windows to open in the bathrooms, things in the kitchen that don't make sense (why would the things you use to cook be across the kitchen from where you'll need them? Why are there three cans of scented room spray in the kitchen and none in the bathroom?). I think if the people who owned/managed the house **actually** stayed in the residence for a few days/nights they'd think to add more comforts to make it feel like an actual home--not just an impersonal shell with decent beds. Even a little binder with some info/recommendations on surrounding things to see/do/eat in the area would have been a nice touch. To note: I had asked at time of booking if we could host a book club meeting at the house (our whole reason for being in town) and again when the host reached out--with no response until AFTER the reservation refund date, to which the answer was "no guests except those that are staying on the property" and a risk of extra costs should people been seen coming into the house on the cameras. Ugh. Very disappointing because we wouldn't have been half as loud as the multiple parties happening on the block.
