"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "We stayed for a night for my birthday and my father in laws birthday and we spent the afternoon in front of the fire which was so cosy and relaxing. We then had dinner and had the famous ribs…we were all blown away by the quantity and quality of meat. The staff were incredibly friendly! The room we stayed in was huge and comfortable. Definitely will be returning! A fabulous stay. "

"The whole checkin experience was excellent from the owners of this great pub/restaurant/guesthouse despite them not having a clue that i was staying due to Expedia not informing them of my arrival. However they worked around this, and made me feel welcome and even upgraded me to a suite, I did have to pay direct, but assured a refund if the Expedia payment is also taken "

"My friend and I had a lovely stay here last night. We arrived in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed by Karen. We were really well looked after by Karen and her team and nothing was too much trouble. Our twin room was lovely and the beds really comfortable with lovely touches in the bathroom in case we had forgotten anything. Our food in the restaurant was delicious … the best steak I have had in a while and my friend said her burger was amazing. A real gem of a place at Rutland and we will...

"I would like to point out that this property is not in Grantham but in South Witham, Grantham. This makes a great deal of difference and took us much longer to find and right out of our way. I suggest you correct this. The address given by you takes you to different part of the area and is confusing. So please correct it and add South Witham to the full address. "
