The Space:

Alpaca Paddock by Tiny Away is a charming tiny house set within an open paddock at Quentin Park Alpacas & Studio Gallery in the town of Peterborough, placing you right in the heart of a working farm. Here, alpacas wander past, the seasons shift the colour of the land, and wide skies stretch in every direction—creating one of the most relaxing holiday homes experiences in the region.



Our tiny homes have plenty of space for kids to roam and dogs to explore, it’s perfect for gathering around the outdoor table or firepit. Located near Peterborough Print Works, Greg Duggan Nature Reserve, and Magnetic Hill Drive—and just 1 hour 30 minutes from Port Pirie—the setting offers peaceful seclusion, true dark skies for stargazing, and a chance to experience nature at its most raw and beautiful.



Enjoy the quiet, watch wildlife and farm life unfold, and take in the scale and stillness that make regional Australia so unique. This 139-square-foot tiny home offers easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and well-appointed bathroom facilities. Amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.



Guest Access:

Guests are welcome to enjoy the tiny house and its immediate surroundings, as well as designated areas of our working alpaca farm, including the farm trail, gardens, farm shop, and café during opening hours.



For safety and animal welfare, some areas are restricted, including private residences, operational farm zones, and other paddocks. Clear signage is provided, and we’re always happy to guide guests on where they can explore.



We ask guests to respect gates, fences, animals, and other people, and to leave areas as they find them so everyone — human and animal — can enjoy the space.

Right at Quentin Park Alpacas & Studio Gallery, farm visits and creative workshops bring together guests and locals. It suits families, small groups, and anyone who enjoys gathering around a fire after a full day outdoors.



If you’re keen to explore further, you’re 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the coastal town of Port Pirie, with more country roads and regional stories to discover.



Getting Around:

By car:



- From Adelaide, the property is approximately 3 hours (230 km) by car.

- From Port Augusta, it is around 1 hour (90 km), and from Clare, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (120 km).

- The property is accessible by 2WD vehicles via sealed and well-maintained rural roads. No 4WD is required.

- A vehicle is recommended, as public transport options are limited.



By public transport:



- Public transport options to Peterborough are limited.

- Guests can travel from Adelaide to Peterborough via regional bus services, which operate on limited schedules.

- From the town centre, the property is just 2.5 km away (approximately a 2-minute drive), and guests can arrange a taxi or pre-booked transfer.

- From the property, Peterborough township is a short drive, while nearby regional centres such as Port Augusta and Clare are best accessed by car.

- A reliable local taxi service, Peterborough Taxis, operates in the area and offers fixed-rate fares. We recommend booking in advance where possible.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Pets are permitted, provided they are small lap dogs

- Smoking is allowed in designated areas of the property

- Please note that more extended stays or late check-outs will incur an extra charge

- Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone have strong mobile signals, while other providers may be weak

- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent before arrival

- A maximum of one to two well-behaved dogs may be approved per stay. Only calm, well-trained dogs are allowed, as cats and dogs with a strong prey drive are not allowed due to alpacas, wildlife, and farm animals.



Important note:



- For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.

- Tiny houses are supplied with potable town water. Bottled water is also available for purchase at the Farm Shop if preferred.
