Design house in Tuscan style surrounded by nature

Surrounded by the nature of the Val Pedogna, near the natural park of the Alpi Apuane, in a secluded and quiet position, the Residence “Ai Sorbi” is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The entire property has been recently renovated and equipped with elegant furniture, with the typical Tuscan architecture mixed up with a modern style. The owner Andrea Salvetti is an artist who built this home with the help of some of the best designers (E.Sottsass, G.Pesce,A.Ciffo etc.). Moreover, the position of the house is really perfect, since it is surrounded by the nature of a valley but 22 km away from Lucca and 35 km away from the sea. You can easily reach the Garfagnana, with its typical products (porcino mushrooms, chestnuts flour and hulled wheat), as well as Pisa, Florence, Siena and other Tuscan destinations. The stone swimming pool is 13x6 m and you can get to the property through 500 m of a paved road.

Excellent property - Superb & quiet Location

We had a great time at this property! The location is remote and quiet. The pool was sensational. The renovated small house has everything you need to enjoy, bond and reconnect with the loved ones. A great grocery store (Esselunga) is 15 in away by car. Highly recommended!

Traumhafte Ferien

Wir hatten eine super schöne Woche in Patrizias Haus! Die Lage ist ruhig und total idyllisch – perfekt zum Abschalten – und trotzdem ist man in ca. 25 Minuten mitten in Lucca. Das Haus ist großzügig, sauber und gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche hatte wirklich alles, was man braucht. Der Pool war ein Highlight – einfach traumhaft! Patrizia war immer erreichbar, total herzlich und hatte super Tipps für Ausflüge. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen

A little difficult to locate initially, but worth the effort. The host, Patrizia, was wonderfully attendant to our needs and to every detail. I would not hesitate to stay here again. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Super schön und ruhig. Zwei Häuser teilen sich einen Pool, das war in unserem Fall aber kein Problem, weil die Gäste aus dem anderen Haus kaum vor Ort waren. Die Anreise mit dem Auto zu dem Haus ist sehr abenteuerlich. Man fährt eine Strecke durch den Wald und wir haben mehrfach aufgesetzt, wenn man aber angekommen ist wird man mit herrlicher Ruhe belohnt. Wer Entspannung sucht ist hier richtig, wer Party machen will ist hier falsch. Alles in allem für uns sehr gut

Great pool, accommodation and very nice owner

We enjoyed the time very much. The house and pool are great. Everything was perfect. The owner Patrizia is super nice. The only thing to improve is that the Wi-Fi was not always stable, but in the end it was much better than advertised.

Vi havde et skønt ophold. Dejlig fred og ro - dog er der ingen internet eller telefonforbindelse, det var lidt ærgerligt, da det er svært at planlægge udflugter mv. samt at ingen kunne komme i kontakt med os. Ellers fantastisk pool og smukkeste udsigt

Ruhig und relativ schwierig zu erreichen

Eine ruhige Unterkunft, sehr nette Vermieterin, gut ausgestattetes Haus. Unternehmungen wie Spaziergänge in direkter Umgebung sind, gerade für ältere Menschen, nicht möglich. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind nicht zu Fuß zu erreichen, man benötigt immer ein Fahrzeug.

Tolles Ferienhaus inmitten der Natur

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus von Patrizia. Das Ferienhaus liegt mitten in der Natur und nur knapp 30 Minuten von Lucca mit dem Auto entfernt. Für Ausflüge in die nördliche Toskana inkl. Pisa und Florenz für uns ideal. Die letzten 200m der Anfahrt über eine steile unbefestigte Straße bzw. Schotterpiste ist zwar ein wenig abenteuerlich, aber für nicht tiefergelegte PKW auch ohne Allradantrieb durchaus zu meistern. Danke für den tollen Urlaub!

Lovely Italian retreat!

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage in the Italian mountains. Although weather was not the best, the fellas still tried out the outdoor pool. Our host, Patrizia was very responsive even answering our call after midnight as we were a bit lost trying to find the location in the dark. The cottage is very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable although WiFi was non existent in the unit we stayed in. Also having 2 bathrooms was a bonus with 4 adults. Overall we had a very nice stay!

Sehr schönes Objekt

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche bei perfektem Wetter. Die Lage ist idyllisch, aber auch sehr abgelegen - das muss man mögen ("mal eben" einkaufen oder zum Bäcker geht nicht). Die absolute Ruhe am Wochenende der Anreise wurde dann in die Woche doch teilweise durch die Arbeiten in Steinbruch, der sich an der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Tales befindet beeinträchtigt. Das Haus, die gesamte Anlage - insbesondere der Poolbereich - sind sehr schön und gepflegt; Patricia als Gastgeberin ist super.

A wonderful stay

We had a very nice holiday. Beautiful house, nice swimming pool, lots of privacy. Location is beautiful, but somewhat remote. This means it takes a little longer to get there, via a challenging road. Also no reception for 4 or 5G, WiFi is limited. No problem for us, more time to read, play games and relax. Plenty to see in the area, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno, Pistoia etc. We ate at El Paso Trattoria Pizzeria in Lucca, highly recommended!

Lovely house in tranquil location

The host Patrizia is lovely, really helpful. Comfortable and spacious house which is well equipped and with characterful designer furnishings and lighting etc. Though quite pleased to find a modern more traditional sofa than the seating cubes shown on the website photos. Excellent wifi in the house, though it didn't reach to the pool (not a bad thing!). Good aircon which managed to keep the 35C heat at bay. Be prepared for a couple of kilometers single track road with few passing places to get to the property. It's a quiet road though and we only met a couple of cars when leaving on the last day. Recommend visiting the small hilltop town Coreglia Antelminelli, and we had a lovely visit to the Orto Botanico in the Apuan Alps, amazing views of mountains made of carrara marble, and guided tours of the wild flowers just 5 euros each.

Idyllisch!

Die Unterkunft ist recht abseits gelegen und die Anfahrt über die Serpentinen und das Geröll den Berg hoch schon etwas beschwerlich. Wir mussten etwas weiter unten parken, da unser Auto (ohne Allradantrieb) zu schwer war, um bis an die Unterkunft direkt heranzufahren. Wenn man aber angekommen ist, hat man seine absolute Ruhe. Abseits vom Alltag und von Touristen kann man entspannen und vor allem den herrlichen Pool nutzen. Die gesamte Kommunikation lief auf Englisch und problemlos. Alles war sauber und gepflegt. Ganz herzlichen Dank!

Rustgevend vakantiehuis

Ruim en licht huis boven op een berg met goedwerkende airco. Prachtig zwembad en totale rust. Voor mensen die op zoek zijn naar rust is dit een ideale locatie. Minder geschikt voor pubers. Goede Wifi, maar verder geen bereik (telefoon/mobiele data). Muffe lucht in de slaapkamer beneden en een en ander is aan vervanging toe. Toegangsweg is zoals beschreven een uitdaging, maar het went. Als het goed is wordt de weg komende winter verbeterd volgens de gastvrouw.

Enjoyed our stay

A beautiful house on top of the mountain. Great views, fully equipped kitchen, good beds and a great and beautiful pool. The road to the house is not for everyone. My wife is scared of heights so that did not help. My daughter and I loved the little off road part. One point of critism: the house is a little bit smelly. Maybe because of the workshop that is attached to the house. I let Patrizia know and she told me she would address it.
