SUNSET HOUSE truly lives up to its name. We fell in love with this home in 2021 for its peaceful, unobstructed sunset views over the Pensacola Sound—and it’s where most guests find themselves spending their time. Step onto the private pier to reach the calm, shallow Sound-side beach, where kids splash and collect hermit crabs while adults relax on the sand or fish from the pier.

Right off the back deck, the brand-new private pool features a swim-up bar, splash deck with bubblers, and in-water loungers. Optional heating is available in spring and fall ($45/day).

Inside, the large great room showcases reclaimed heart pine floors from a Mississippi barn, a modern kitchen with Taj Mahal granite and stainless appliances, and a 72” Roku TV surrounded by slipcovered sofas and recliners. Accommodations include three king bedrooms with cool gel memory foam mattresses, plus a queen bedroom. The home also offers five vanity areas, three bathrooms (two with separate toilets), making it perfect for groups or families.

The Gulf beach is just a three-block walk to public access, and the free trolley to the Boardwalk stops only a block away. The Boardwalk itself, with shops and restaurants, is just a mile away.

Golf Cart Note: The golf cart is provided as a courtesy only. It is not part of the rental agreement and may not always be available. Adult licensed drivers with insurance only; a hold-harmless agreement must be signed.

This was our first time renting a house on the bay side (as opposed to the ocean). We absolutely loved having the pier to fish from and to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The pool was a huge plus, and the house itself is gorgeous, relaxing, and has everything a family needs for an amazing week at the ocean. We loved it and will definitely be coming back. We had 9 family members, 3 of them were children - and the accommodations were just right.
We loved the wildlife :)

Beautiful Home and Great Location

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Pensacola Beach vacation home! The property was incredibly nice—clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like a cherished family home, not just another rental. The beds were super cozy, and the house had everything we needed for a relaxing week.The private beach on the bay was a highlight for us—perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, and peaceful afternoons in the sun. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the kids loved all the pool toys. We also enjoyed quiet morning runs through the peaceful neighborhood streets and made good use of the golf cart whenever we could.This was our first time staying bayside, and we absolutely loved the vibe. It was quiet and calm, but still just a short drive to the action. We took advantage of grocery and restaurant delivery, which made things super convenient.We’d love to come back—this place was a gem!

Beautiful Home!

We had a wonderful time here! This beautiful house was just as pictured and was very clean when we arrived. The pool was perfect for our young children as it wasn't too deep even in the deepest end but had plenty of space for them to play in. It was also great being right on the bay but also being only a few blocks from the beach so we had variety in our water activities. I was a little worried ahead of time about how hard it would be to cross the road on the way to the beach, but people always stopped for us and it wasn't a problem. The owners were also extremely communicative, and the check-in and check-out procedures were easy to follow. We loved staying here and definitely plan to come back when we can! I highly recommend this home for any family looking for a fun, clean, and beautiful vacation spot!

Great Spot, Had Everything We Needed

We truly enjoyed staying here. Becky was very responsive and helped with any questions we had. You could tell people lived here because it actually had the necessities you don't think about. the pool floats were an extra bonus for the kids and we would definitely come back anytime!

Amazing Property

This is an amazing property with direct access to the sound, a private pool, and a short walk to the beach. The house is beautifully decorated. Couldn't be happier and hope to come back next year. Becky was a wonderful host as well!

Perfect!

This home had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. Having a place to dock our boat, as well as a place for the guys to fish between rain showers, was wonderful. Close to the beach and restaurants, but located in a quiet neighborhood where we enjoyed walking every day. We enjoyed our stay.

Great House, perfect location with a couple suggestions

The house is very nice! Great feel, very comfortable, great location to the sites and sounds but far enough away that it is quiet at night. Beds were comfortable but pillows were lacking big time, so if you like a good pillow bring your own. Same thing with extra blankets or sheets. They have 1 set per bed, which is not out of the normal but would be nice to have another set to use in case of kids getting them dirty or you get cold. The kitchen has most everything you need, but it is not a chef's kitchen. You can get around making a meal no issues but no frills. Great coffee machine, good fridge, and everything else you might need. Towels are plentiful for pool and bathrooms. They also have a very early check out time at 10:00 am which makes it a bit difficult if you have a later flight. The cleaning lady was standing at the front door at 9:50 am waiting for us to leave. Just know this is not a hotel and you have to provide a lot of hotel items you may be used to yourself. Overall a great spot, location and house. Would recommend to anyone but make sure they understood all the extra you need to bring to get through your stay.

Perfect vacation

We had a wonderful time at the Sunset property. The location could not be beat. The beach access point nearest the house was the least crowded beach I've ever been to. We were there over the Blue Angels Air Weekend and at that time only the beaches were full, otherwise our photos are of crystal blue water and no background people other than the ones we came with. We rented a golf cart mostly because we were traveling with kids, so they rode from the beach to the house and the adults had an easy walk back from the beach. The bay/dock/sound side beach was also very enjoyable for adults and kids alike. Hermit crabs galore! They loved the bunk room... and the queen sized beds in the bunk room made it feel much less crowded in there for 6 little ones all together. I would love to see a TV added in that room to give them a place to watch TV that is away from the main living area. We hope to return! I have stayed in Pensacola many times and this was our best trip so far. Thanks so much!

Perfect stay for extended family of twelve!

Six adults, (three couples) and six children stayed comfortably in three bedrooms with king beds and a separate bunk room that had three queen size beds in a bunk configuration. All six kids stayed in the bunk room, so nice! Access to the sound with a sandy beach, the pool, and two blocks from the gulf made the location perfect! The owners were in contact with us, very friendly with southern hospitality. Thanks for a great vacation!

Everything and More!

For a group of nine, accomodations can be difficult however, this property checked all our boxes. With everything at the property, you do not have to leave to enjoy your time. Our kids absolutely enjoyed the pool, fishing off the dock, wading and swimming in the water. We were able to dock our boat during our stay which made it easier to use. Becky the host was always a text away and was very informative on the area and the things we may enjoy doing. We hope to visit again real soon.
