"Podere Castallare is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we did not have a relaxing stay. Music was played at full volume directly into our bedroom from the bar from around 4pm - 11pm every day. It was so loud we could not spend time in our room. The air conditioner was broken and not fixed. We were treated rudley at dinner by the manager, which added to the tension in the atmosphere."

We of course knew it would be hot in August and were glad to find La Tegolaia had enough bedrooms to suit our needs and included "Deluxe amenities: newly installed air-conditioned bedrooms...". And that is true but for the notable EXCEPTION of the Master Bedroom on the third floor of what is referred to as "the tower". A lovely room to be sure, but the focus of all the hot air rising from the rest of the house in 95-100...
