"We chose this location as we were helping our son move into his apt in the Pearl District. Many wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries all within a walkable distance, or a short 5-10 minute drive. We really appreciated the easy access to parking as the area can get congested. Breakfast was basic, but is a definite plus if you’re on a budget. Hotel was quiet and the area felt safe. Would stay here again!"

"Second time staying here, a pleasant experience overall. Checking in was a bit annoying, since only the bartender could do the process, and he was unfortunately swamped with bar customers for a while. Not sure why another staff member couldn't take care of the process. Other than that, clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location. Noise from the shows below isn't so bad, although noise from other guests in the hallways in the mornings can be a bit much, but not unexpected given the layout...

"The room was pretty clean, but there was a light stain on the bedsheet. The bathroom only had bar soap for both the sink and shower and it was extremely drying for the skin. The 24/7 cafe confused me because there isn’t an attendant at all times, and the options aren’t great. When there was an attendant in the morning, they weren’t very cheerful. The location was convenient as it is a 6 minute walk from the train station. To my knowledge there is no parking onsite."

"Excellent, comfortable, clean room. Easy parking. Friendly, helpful staff. We spend time in Portland every Summer, and for the last three years the Viking has been our Portland home. We hope to stay there again next Summer. We stayed there five nights this Summer."

"The beds were clean and very comfortable, the toiletries were nice, and the breakfast was excellent. We also appreciated the breakfast credit that came with our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel could use better housekeeping and maintenance. The hallway carpet was dirty, the concrete floor in our room had what looked like stained boot prints, the curtains were hanging off the track, and there was no refrigerator. The area rug under the beds was worn and had pulled loops in the carpet that should...
