Parque Nacional Wellington

The room was pretty basic, TV, kettle tea coffe milk & sugar and a bed. The room although cleaned every 3 days looked tired and could do with a fresh coat of paint. Would have liked some form of comfy chair instead of a stool. But overall was adequate to meet my needs. Parking is free and ample. The down side if you don't have car your a bit out of the way.

We chose this hotel because of the excellent reviews and wanted something right in the centre of Freo. We were prepared for the room to be small because of being a converted sea container so that was not a surprise and it was perfect for what we were after. Spotlessly clean and well designed. The other bonuses certainly made up for this. The free drinks and nibbles around the fire pit at bar next door, the basic breakfast that was included was totally fine and beautifully presented. The bread was amazing from the special bakery. Loved following the historical background of the hotel in the foyer. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We parked in hotel car park which was a bit steep at $35 per night. There were only about 5 or 6 cars parked there so I guess guests must have found cheaper alternatives. Or maybe just a quiet time. I would definitely recommend for a short one or 2 night stay. Thank you.
