Just felt like an old construction with a few makeovers. "

"Our room was clean, but the door lock didn't work in room 419, only the latch at the top. We didn't have breakfast but the snacks at the front had plenty of options. The bar service was great, and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Excellent service!! I would come back for another stay!"

"Stayed at the Aida in Kansas City and honestly didn’t expect it to be this good. The space is HUGE. my room felt more like a full suite than a standard hotel room. What really stood out was the design: everything was thoughtfully curated, with a mix of vintage pieces and antique-style decor that gave the whole place a lot of character without feeling overdone. "Two rooms on the first floor had such a strong overwhelming chlorine/bleach smell that neither us nor our friends could stay longer than a few moments. The folks at the front desk were very helpful and polite and moved us immediately. We then got a second story room and a fourth story room and the smell was fine. It looks like they tried to remodel the property and on the surface it looks pretty good. The lobby looks nice. When you start to look closer at the rooms they are not in great shape....

"VRBO was cancelled day of arrival due to raccoon problem so had to stay here for a VB tournament as hotel options were limited. Overpriced. Room was clean but stains on carpet. Breakfast was “ok” would have preferred no breakfast with a cheaper room rate especially since it didn’t open until 7 on weekends and most sport teams have to be at venue to play before then. Location was good. A few great restaurants and cool used book store walking distance. Housekeepers were great. "

"The hotel was in a convenient location to downtown. They were in the midst of renovations, but did a great job of protecting guests from that. The breakfast could have been a little more varied, but it was unique to have a bagel bar (if I’m remembering correctly)."

"Booked one night for our anniversary. Our first room backed up to the fitness center and we could hear people dropping weights, etc. we called the front desk and they moved us to a quieter room. Should note the atrium rooms face the interior of the building NOT a garden area as you might assume. "

"The staff were great and courteous. The property was really nice, I especially loved the robes in the room and the gym was amazing. I wish I had more time to enjoy the different areas. I only ate from the hotel restaurant once for lunch -salmon but it was really good though of course felt a little overpriced for the portion size. It was still filling though. "
