Very disappointing for a hotel of this category
We stayed at the Intercontinental in Kansas for 6 days and, unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected, especially regarding service and room cleanliness. Throughout our entire stay, housekeeping only cleaned our room once, and that was after we requested it politely. When we asked again more firmly, they finally sent someone, but only under the condition that we leave the room before 11 a.m. and notify the front desk.
Even when we followed those instructions, we would return at night to find the room still dirty, with no clean towels to shower and food trays piling up. This happened several days in a row, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be high-end. Honestly, this is the kind of issue you cam deal staying at a house or a 2-star motel not from a supposed luxury hotel.
It was a frustrating experience that we definitely do not recommend and will not repeat. If basic housekeeping cannot be guaranteed, it’s clear there’s a serious problem with management or customer service.
