"Top class location with easy and picturesque walk to high street via cathedral. Friendly, courteous staff. Characterful clean room with excellent welcome freebies ( bottle of beer, sweet treats). Fridge in the room with real milk and chilled water. A very characterful bar & dining room in the pub which was clearly very popular with locals too. Slight downsides: not great privacy of ensuite facilities from bedroom, slightly over-priced evening meal even for Winchester, some early morning...

"A good place to crash out after a long day. Room very cost effective and basic but a really good nights sleep. Winchester Services is I'd say a quieter services area than many. Checking in was easy and staff were friendly and helpful. "

"This was an absolute disaster! I arrived to an empty house and couldn’t get in! The email from the owner had gone to my junk folder. I called the owner and was told the room would not be available until 8.00 pm! But I could wait inside! After a whole day of travel, I entered the house - and availed myself of a hot drink! All this time I was alone. After waiting for 45 minutes (and needing a restroom) I lost patience and booked at the local Travelodge! No refund was offered! I would ABSOLUTELY...

"We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Crown Inn. The location is perfect and easy to find, parking was simple in the car park opposite. We had the four poster room which was amazing. Very spacious and a massive bathroom too. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We loved our stay "

"Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress."
