"There is no lobby or face to face check-in, but check-in went as described and smoothly. Room was large, clean, and very nice. A/C worked and shower was good. Bed mattress was good. I stayed two nights and (automatically?) got full maid service both nights! In room refrigerator worked in the beginning but not as cold as I would have liked. Morning of check-out, it appears it may have died. My room was surprising quiet. I never heard or saw another guest (but the place was sold out) and the...

"Vi köpte en billig hotell natt i Alicante för att utforska stan lite närmare. Vil5 har ett utmärkt läge i gamla stan nära till restauranger, barer, museum och hissen som tar dig upp till borgen på berget. VIL5 är obemannat men all service finns i hotellet tvärs över gatan, där sker även incheckning och frukost. Frukost kostade 10.50 euro, den var rätt så standard men helt ok. Frukosten serverades på takvåningen med en fin utsikt över borgen och stan. Ute terrassen var inte öppen under frukosten...

"This is a lovely very old building which just oozes character. The location is brilliant for the old town. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. Soft drinks in the cool fridge were a nice touch. The shower was good and the toiletries were very nice. The small balcony was nice to sit out on. Breakfast was good and included in the room tariff for us. We had room 103 and would happily stay here again. "

"Wonderful stay. Hotel spotless, staff welcoming and friendly. Rooftop pool small but great for my granddaughter. Room adequate. Streets surrounding hotel grubby, in fact Alicante city overall rather grubby, extremely unlike many other Spanish cities I’ve visited. "

"Fantastisk beliggenhed, lige midt i det pulserende liv i centrum. Vi kom meget sent men med god instruktion fandt vi nemt den dejlige seng i et fint værelse. Den eneste lille ærgrelse var, at køleskabet ikke kølede og ikke kom til det i løbet af vores ophold. Internet var heller ikke prangende, men kunne nogenlunde klare almindelig maillæsning men ikke download. Et ophold her kan klart anbefales. "

"We arrived early, but had a very friendly greeting and were allowed to check in early as our room was ready. The hostal is set in a very convenient spot in the city, very close to the beach, castle and museums, and with plenty of dining options. The room was bright, clean and well equipped. Check in instructions could be more clear, but would definitely recommend. Tip: a door code is emailed ahead of arrival, but you need to remember the # key after the number. The code will not work until 3pm...
