"This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made."

"Very nice place to stay at! It had a tv, air conditioning, shampoo and conditioner, a fridge, utensils, two beds, type C and usb light chargers, a fan, smells ready good too, and also really clean. Very peaceful. I would stay again. I'll miss it."

"The Purple Passion Cottage was fabulous, cozy, comfortable, charmingly furnished and had everything my family of 3 needed. The kitchenette was well stocked with enough pots/pans/dishes and utensils so that we could cook a few meals. We even baked cookies in the oven! The attached balcony is perfect for morning coffee, star gazing or a bit of yoga or just watching the wind blow through the trees. "This is an out-of-the-way gem (but easy to get to). Clean, and close to shore to hear waves crashing. Host was superb! Unit was smaller than expectation. Hard to use luggage rack and move around. Not so certainly about "see whales and dolphins" - but maybe it was wrong time of year. Checking and communication with host was great (5/5)!"
