Property was cute, cozy, had a lot of amenities. We used the cabin as our base camp to hike and explore Mount Rainier National Park. Wish 4.5 stars was an option. The only down sides were:-no regular coffee pot (had a Keurig and did provide coffee, just not my cup of tea so to speak). -Must take shoes off on carpet and can't eat or drink out side of the kitchen/dining area. Not an issue for us but something to consider if you have wild kids. Thankfully ours are at an age where it wasn't a problem at all and we DID really enjoy the cleanliness of the place which is likely partially due to not having food and drink everywhere. -They have family portraits in the cabin. We loved the family orientation but it was kinda odd looking at other people's families. Definitely NOT a deal breaker. The upsides (there are a ton):-It's quiet.-Packwood is a very short drive away and there is public access to the Cowlitz River between the property and the town making for an easy fun cool off spot. -It had plenty of spices and kitchen cooking amenities.-It was very nice to have a washer and dryer. -They property is very clean. -They had a fire pit that was to Lewis County burn restriction code so we could have a fire even though restrictions are in place. -They had DVDs and fun things for kids to play with. -They dinning room table is HUGE and made for a great place for our family dinners. -Grill worked great. -There ar plenty of fans to help cool the cabin off.
