The living is easy in this bright and airy home -- just a short walk to the beaches of Oxnard. Lie back in the hammock on the deck and take in the view of the harbor, or amble to the nearby shops and restaurants. Park your car in the driveway, or dock your boat out front -- there are many ways to enjoy this sublime location.

This home is all about seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor life. The private dock is sure to please boat owners, so feel free to bring your watercraft! Boats up to 40' can dock at this home in the designated boat dock. Kayak and jet ski rentals are also readily accessible in the harbor. Enjoy beautiful day out by grilling on the BBQ or swaying on a hammock.

Inside, the layout invites you and your guests toward the harbor. Sliding glass doors lead out to decks on both floors, one of which is completely new. Sea breezes have plenty of room to circulate through the open, high-ceilinged living/dining area on the first floor. The dining table folds out for family-style meals. There are also two huge tablecloths for use when the dining room table is expanded. The remodeled kitchen features a gas range and plenty of cabinet and counter space for your marketplace finds. The additional living area upstairs opens to the hall and has access to the upstairs deck. Complimentary WiFi and a washer/dryer are provided.

The first-floor primary bedroom feels like its own oasis with its bed and simple, stylish decor. Enjoy access to the tranquil garden path just outside this bedroom. The skylight keeps the room bright and beachy. An en suite bathroom has plenty of counter space and a walk-in shower.

The magic of this property is in the seafaring potential! If you're a fisherman, Mirage Sportfishing will take you out to find that perfect catch. If you'd rather swim, the beach is beautiful and only a stroll from home. Shops and restaurants abound near the harbor, so there's truly no need to drive once you've arrived.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

I will say the location is amazing and yes, the cleaning staff did an excellent job given what they have to work with. As our time to visit Oxnard drew closer I read current reviews from travelers who had just stayed at this property and became concerned with all of the cons listed because we were taking a toddler with us and someone had listed an issue about the screen doors and the gate to the dock not latching. I sent an email to Turnkey, they have always gotten back to me within a day, not this time. When I hadn't heard anything within 3 days I called. The person at the call center was very accomodating but really couldn't do much as they're in Denver, CO. She sent a request to the local office to reach out to me ASAP by phone. Another couple of days went by and I still hadn't heard back so I called again. Again, I spoke to a very nice person who confirmed that the previous rep did in fact send a request to the local office. This was 2 days before we were supposed to leave. We decided to carry on and make the best of it. When we got there we discovered that indeed the sliding screen doors (there are 2 to the deck) didn't work properly. One just needs new rollers and the other is bent and needs to be replaced. As for the gate latch that also needs to be replaced. Yes, this place is absolutely dated as mentioned in many previous posts. They charge an absorbent amount of $$$ for this place and it looks like nothing goes back into it. It seems to me that Turnkey would want to make it's customers happy by spending a day or two fixing some minor issues so no one gets hurt. One last note... I definitely do not recommend taking small children here. Not only because of the above issues but because there are a lot, I mean a lot of sharp corners every where. The stairs are really unsafe. Kids can slip through each step and small heads fit between the posts. With it's location and a little TLC this place could be amazing.

This is a very nice property with a terrific open layout perfect for a family with teens. It is however in need of some basic maintenance updates, including new sliding screen doors, a fix on the master shower which is very difficult to turn on and off, and a new shower door on the master shower which is a hazard. Turnkey were prompt and efficient managers. A great stay overall.

I am going to be bluntly honest in my review... I made my reservation in May 2021 for a July 2021 booking. I saw numerous reviews prior to our stay, mentioning the house was older, & has a lot of deferred maintenance. We also saw reviews mentioning a problem with plumbing & an old refrig, that doesn't keep its temp. Knowing this going in, I contacted the property mgmt team before our stay to make sure all of these issues had been handled. I was assured by them that there were not any current problems. They sent me their standard stmt. regarding the refrig, that we needed to allow the refrig 3 to 24 hrs. to come up to temp., after putting food in. Right there is the 1st problem-that is a food safety issue! Luckily for us, we traveled by car & brought food frozen or very cold in 2 ice chests, which we ended up needing for food storage. The refrig worked for the 1st 24 hrs., & then like so many other reviews stated, lost temp. We had to contact the property mgmt team, & then convert the refrig into an ice chest, by storing bags of ice inside for the last 3 days of our trip, (due to a part had to be ordered by the repairman they sent out). Side note: time spent away from our vacation handling this property's lack of maintenance. The Pros: The house is a nice house, located in a nice area. The best part of this rental is being out on the deck, looking out over the canal. The Cons: (Just to name a few, as a lot of other reviewers have stated ARE factual!) * bad smells coming from the washing machine, & kitchen sink * oven broiler doesn't work * some of the faucets constantly drip or leak * there is mold issues in both showers * there are issues with all of the screen doors * Major issue with Security to the property...if you are wanting to exit the property by the back, for boating, kayaking etc., you can't secure & lock the house. * garage door is experiencing problems closing * all beds need to be replaced * refrigerator is broken & needs to be replaced In summary, the property is dated & in need of desperate upgrades & repairs. Before choosing this rental, my rec would be to check with their property mgmt company to see if their issues have been corrected. While fun was had seeing family, it was heavily overshadowed with so much time & issues dealing with the many property issues, management company, & repair service. NOT how we like to go on vacation. Unfortunately we wont be returning to this house.

Location was easily accessible and on a quiet street right on the marina. Master bed was small for a couple (I’m used to a King), but overall the place was spacious. No toys , which would have been nice, like kayaks, paddle boards, and bikes. Place was a fairly easy walk to the Hollywood beach (15 min) and or 5 min. drive. Overall would consider going again, but price did go up 30 minutes after we were originally looking over $100 which was disappointing.

Our stay in Oxnard was the perfect kick-off for summer. We were an extended family (3 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents, 1 aunt) and we had a fun, relaxing and easy stay in Oxnard. The location to the nearby beach was an easy walk (we brought a wagon for all the extras), and an even easier to drive (when we “ran over” to catch the sunset). Grocery store was close to stock up for our extended weekend. We really enjoyed sharing our meals on the deck overlooking the canals. We enjoyed getting our text check-ins and reminders from the property management team, making check in and check out a breeze. Some items in home have the deferred maintenance that other reviewers have mentioned, but everything is fairly represented in the listing (no surprises). Our family may have found their new favorite vacation spot!

The location of the property was wonderful and the neighbors were very friendly. The house needs some upgrades, like getting new beds and fixing the plumbing issues. Also I suggest getting rid of the shredded lounge chair on the patio and changing the taped screen door. Still with those issues we did enjoy our time there.

We enjoyed our stay in Channel Islands harbor. Unfortunately, the house had not been properly cleaned when we arrived. We had to go around and sanitize all the high touch surfaces and the floors were very dirty and definitely had not been mopped. There were six people in our party and only 3 towels and one wash cloth and the kitchen towels were on the rack and dirty, the tv was not hooked up to the cable, and all the outdoor furniture was very old, dirty, and rusted and one of chaise lounges was broken. We sent Turnkey a text about the towels, the tv and the outdoor furniture. They responded and sent out a guy to inspect the property the next day and he was able to fix the tv and provided us with more towels. This was great but for the price we paid and all the fees that were charged we were disappointed that these minor issues were not fixed before we checked in! Not having enough towels is so basic and the outdoor furniture was unusable. If there is a property management company managing your rental and charging both the owner and renter fees one would think that the property would be better managed!

This was our third visit, and it has been progressively dirtier and less desirable. Kitchen floor was sticky and food debris, had to search for the towels, soap, and garbage bags. Many slats missing from verti cal blinds. Pantry is full of very old spices and food, including rancid vegetable oil.

Nice enough place in quite neighborhood. Beach is about a 10 minute walk. No real close walking access to any shops or restaurants. But if you have a boat, plenty of options for boating to. Nice patio area and again, quite and restful location. Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 10:00 am which seems unfair. And the house needs some new screens to the patio and blinds, both where in need of replacement. Would stay again, but only at the right price.

Good location on the water. The house is ok, needs soap that is not watered down---very tacky. Remote for TV volume does not work---frustrating. Needs more towels such as basic wash clothes that go with the one towel set they give you. You have to bring your own paper towels, TP,---they give you one roll per bathroom. For that much a night I did not appreciate that I would have to buy dishwasher or hand soap. The hand soap was so watered down it was barely usable. Screen doors to the back were very old and off their track. Very nice dock but the hose to the dock was broken, and Rick, the kind neighbor, thank god, loaned us his. The BBQ is cheap, old and falling apart. The house is decent and the location good on one of the small canals in the harbor. Great neighbor. Their check in and particularly check out time is stupid. Check in at 4 and check out at 10 am???? We left one day early because of it.
