condo was nice - Vacasa is terrible

Before booking, I contacted Vacasa directly to confirm that the outdoor pool at the property would be open during our stay. I was explicitly told that it would be. This was a critical factor in choosing this condo, as I have stayed here before and booked it specifically for the pool — my small children prefer the pool to the Gulf, and it plays a major role in our vacation experience. We arrived six days ago and were shocked to find out that the pool has been closed for two years. I was misled by your team, and it’s clear now that I was given false information. To say this has disrupted our vacation is an understatement — it has completely altered our plans, frustrated my children, and caused significant disappointment for our family. Since our arrival, I have been in constant communication with Vacasa. Over the past six days, I have received nothing but vague reassurances and empty promises that someone would “follow up.” Not only was I lied to before booking, but now my ongoing concerns are being ignored. This is more than poor customer service, it’s gross negligence and a failure to uphold basic accountability to your guest

Beware - Construction! 8/23

The interior is just as described and lovely. However, the building is getting repairs on the outside. The beach access to this building is closed. You have to walk to the next building where the pool is to get to the beach. The building next door is also undergoing repairs so you may hear a sandblaster instead of waves from 8 - 4:30.

Plenty of room for our family of 6. PROS Floor fan for outside patio Great view of the beach and very close walk Plenty of pillows and blankets Ice maker in condo Sample pks of dish, washing machine soap Comfy beds (sofa bed is rough) Beach service offers 2 chairs/umbrella $40/day CONS - wine fridge was broken when we arrived and not fixed during our stay, it was overheating and smelled like burning wires, had to keep breaker off that also operated ice maker and washer/dryer - Missing patio lounge chair, only 2 instead of 3 in pictures - Couldn’t find condo offices or amenities equipment - Basketball, tennis was across a busy street

Great Spot!

We loved this second story condo. Right by the stairwell to get to the pool and beach quickly but still have a great view of the ocean and a nice green space for kids to play! Ice maker is a home run. Trash chute right outside the door also made this trip so easy! Only issues we had was with TVs not working in some of the bedrooms. But that wasn’t a huge deal to us! Would stay here again for sure. As a fitness enthusiast- don’t count on the fitness center being your spot. We were highly disappointed. Not only that, but only running option was the beach (which is on an unfortunate incline) or on the main highway which felt unsafe.

We loved the condo. Perfect location. We all came down with Covid and could not enjoy our vacation.

We loved the condo and the location was perfect. We definitely want to try again next year at the same location. I highly recommend getting a new mattress in the master bedroom. It’s extremely worn out and painful to sleep in.

Perfection

The condo looks just like the photos, very clean and updated. The location was great, near grocery stores and plenty of restaurants, and right on the beach. We loved that the unit was on the 2nd floor so we could just take the stairs down to the beach, so much more convenient than using the elevator. The ice machine was another great perk. We would definitely recommend this place!

designer's dream

Beautiful and tastefully decorated, comfortable and conveniently located, easy access to shopping and restaurants. The second floor with its stairwell was better than an elevator any day! Great beach access. The kitchen and baths had recently been remodeled and couldn't have been cleaner. The tile and countertops were very nice. The ice machine was a godsend. We filled up our tiny cooler and headed to the beach each day to return to hang up our beach towels behind the front door. We appreciated the thoughtfulness (and sturdiness) of each towel bar, added hook inside each shower for swimsuits, and the added hooks behind each bathroom door. The closets were wonderful with durable wooden shelves and thick, heavy rods. (Usually, rental closets are the pits.) There were plenty of new clothing hangers which we were happy to see. (Usually, we bring along extra.) We found plenty of pillows, sheets, throws, blankets, and storage. The furniture was well coordinated and the colorings were, again, matched gorgeously. The round dining room table was perfect for family meals and board games each night. We entertained and played cards with friends who live in the area. There was plenty of room for all of us around the table and in the kitchen while we were doing laundry. The stackable washer and dryer were tucked away flawlessly with a closed door! We cooked almost every night, from burgers to shrimp to pasta to salads. The kitchen was more than well-stocked with appliances, dinnerware, glassware, and stemware. We made garlic bread, fudge brownies, and sugar cookies while enjoying homemade margaritas on the balcony. We had no problems with the fridge, stove, or dishwasher. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! We will recommend it to our friends. ;)

Where is the local team?

I will start with the pros on this one. The unit is decorated beautifully and had plenty of cooking utensils and it had a nice balcony. The cons gradually increased throughout our stay which is why I was not satisfied. Certain areas were not clean. There was noticeable dust on light fixture over island so i didnt use it and dust on cooking utensils, dirty drawers in bathroom and cabinets. Microwave did not work, light in one room did not work and most of the outlets in kitchen did not work. This was reported. Next day property guy knocks on door and I'm thinking they were here to fix the microwave and outlets but no, there was a major leak happening on top floor and it was leaking through our apt and also on 1st floor. I told the property guy i thought you were here to fix the outlets and microwaves. He said that was the local team and would let them know. Day went on with the property guys coming in with large machines to dry the floor and suck water out of wet area near entry door and kitchen. The outlets in kitchen did not work so they took over the bathroom to drain water out in tub. Cords were all over bathroom and entry area and machines very loud. These machines were left in apt going and no one came by after that. I called the help line very upset at this point, a ticket was placed. I received not one call back or call of concern from this local team during my trip. I returned home the next day disappointed that there was not even a reasonable response during our stay. This was very disappointing. So overall, place had potential but showed lack of concern to guest. There were many inconveniences in this apt 206b and lack of responses from the local team period when I stressed concerns about the apt. I will not be returning to this location.

Amazing view

Overall is had a good experience in this location it was clean and the place looked just like it does in the pictures. It is a really convenient location because it was right in front of the ocean and we even saw dolphins. The only bad thing is that one of the sliding doors in the master bathroom was off the hinge and almost fell while I was taking a shower, so when showering you had to be careful that the door heavy glass door would not fall.

Exterior ok, interior AMAZING!

The interior of this property was very well put together. The views and the wrap around balcony were great. The only issues we had were they were working right outside our room putting pipes up the first day. The reason I did not take it down a star for that is because it seemed like they were trying to remedy something for future guests. Definitely love the property!

Beautiful property right in the beach!

Filthy, falling apart

Electric stove eyes warped, oven heats eventually,sliding door sticks lock on door to outside broken. Ice machine inoperable. Light over stove doesn’t work. Light tube in kitchen missing. Paint flaked and pealing. Missing knobs on dresser. Furniture fabric torn and dirty. Door knob stopper crushed. No bedside table. Dirty around toilet. Ceiling on porch pealed.

Great place for the family

First of all, the view is incredible. I couldn't see the sunset or sunrise from the balcony, but it was a very nice view of the beach. It is on the second floor so that palm trees can obstruct some view of the beach but overall it was very pleasant. The beach itself was a short walk compared to other beaches I have stayed at. The sand was soft, white, and easy to walk on. The beach itself was incredible. The waves were probably 2-4 ft while we stayed with mostly calm weather. The condo itself was very nice. Gated entry, private indoor pool and indoor fitness area were all nice. The outdoor pool was nice as well, but not something we used since we were so close to the beach. The indoor pool was great for days we had cooler weather, or rain. There were many stores nearby including a Walmart, Publix, Win-Dixie and Dollar Generals where you could pick up essentials for your stay. The condo is just past the end of a 4 lane divided highway so traffic got interesting on the weekends since there were many people making u-turns nearby. Traffic was actually very pleasant during the middle of the week, but something to be aware of if you are unfamiliar with the area. For the rooms, they were very nice but had some small work that needed to be done. There were some blemishes in the rooms from normal wear and tear, but overall the rooms were very spacious and provided a nice area to relax after a long day at the beach. The kitchen was was nice as well and stocked with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, glasses, plates etc... to use during our stay. There were just a few minor issues for us that I felt made the room deserve 4 stars instead of 5, but it was certainly a place I will consider again in the future.
