"Stunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it."

"Little fly fishing break for hubby. Lovely room with all the facilities, except a telly; this was a bonus though. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Will definitely be back for more fishing!"

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Personnel sympathique. Grande chambre bien équipée. Belle salle de bain avec toilettes séparés. Bon dîner au restaurant, plats copieux et prix corrects mais salle assez bruyante. Excellent petit déjeuner buffet. Grand parking."

"Stayed in the Stag room. Was beautifully decorated, big room and en suites. Absolutely massive bed and really comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend, really enjoyed our stay, thank you!"

"A lovely night at the Jamaica inn to break up our journey from the Midlands to Lands End. The family room was lovely - clean and comfortable and had all the am you need for a stay over. We had a meal in the restaurant (veggie burgers were delicious!) and a quick look around the museum - great fun! We'll definitely be back! "

"I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast. The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again. Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm."

"We booked a family suite which is lovely - very modern and tastefully decorated. A lovely tea/coffee area and bottles of water weee supplied. Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto outside area. The views are amazing and it is just so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing - THE BEST bacon!! Would highly recommend this place - ideal for walkers. "

"The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking). Now. The park itself is nice and the properties there independently owned and operated - some looked lovely, we just got a poor...
