"Little fly fishing break for hubby. Lovely room with all the facilities, except a telly; this was a bonus though. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Will definitely be back for more fishing!"

"Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Personnel sympathique. Grande chambre bien équipée. Belle salle de bain avec toilettes séparés. Bon dîner au restaurant, plats copieux et prix corrects mais salle assez bruyante. Excellent petit déjeuner buffet. Grand parking."

"My room was spacious, spotlessly clean and, as an added bonus, came with a coffee machine so no terrible instant coffee in the morning. The food took what was already an excellent stay to another level at both breakfast and dinner with amazing food. The two men running things also strike the perfect balance of friendly, attentive and relaxed to make you feel welcome. When I’m next in the area I’ll definitely be staying again."

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. The restaurant serves home cooked meals with a great selection of local produce. From this location you are pretty central to either coast and Dartmoor itself. "A lovely night at the Jamaica inn to break up our journey from the Midlands to Lands End. The family room was lovely - clean and comfortable and had all the am you need for a stay over. We had a meal in the restaurant (veggie burgers were delicious!) and a quick look around the museum - great fun! We'll definitely be back! "

"I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast. The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again. Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm."

"We booked a family suite which is lovely - very modern and tastefully decorated. A lovely tea/coffee area and bottles of water weee supplied. Both bedrooms have patio doors opening out onto outside area. The views are amazing and it is just so peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was amazing - THE BEST bacon!! Would highly recommend this place - ideal for walkers. "
