"Lovely place and very welcoming team. Refreshing change to a chain. Room was comfortable, a little rundown in places. Clean but maybe hadn't been used for a while. Would definitely go again and this time get a meal as planned. Thank you. "

"I’ve stayed here quite a few times when working in the area. Rooms are decent, clean. Would like a bigger tv but not the end of the world. Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. Most evenings I work too late to have evening food but I did eat one evening and had the most amazing Butter Chicken. Always the first place I look to book when I’m working in this area. "

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "Pleasant staff on arrival nice and prompt attention, lovely surroundings outside. Comfortable room with great corner bath for much needed relax. Most excellent steak pie for supper. All positive, only negative would be poor wifi connection booster required i would suggest . Nevertheless great stay for business travelling"
