**Ocean Breeze Retreat**
3 bedroom, Beach walk House on East Beach.
Located just one street from oceanfront access, this home lives up to it's name with refreshing sea breezes and a restful place to retreat. The driveway approaches from the back, which is on Pelican Street. Parking space and a number of extra amenities, include a faucet and hose, a large enclosed shower with hot and cold water plus changing area, a fish- cleaning sink with hot and cold water and work surface.

An air-conditioned bonus room with small bay windows serves as a rustic tiki bar, with bar and bar stools. This little hideaway on the ground level is completely separate from the rest of the house. Lush green grass adds to the attractiveness of views from porches on front and back.

Sleeping accommodations are available for up to 8 people. On one side is a bedroom and bathroom, which has a tub with shower and marble-topped cabinets. The children's room with two sets of twin/twin bunk beds share this bath. On the opposite side is a full bedroom with a bathroom in the hall off the living room.

Wrap-around countertops in the kitchen are marble, as are the vanity tops in the bathrooms. The modern kitchen features stainless-steel appliances, including a refrigerator with external ice dispenser. The dining area seats 8. A white wooden hutch is the focal point in this room matching the wood and white color scheme throughout the house.

The large comfortably furnished living room has double sets of patio doors for maximum light, ceiling fan and flat screen tv. Wireless internet access and games books, puzzles and videos complete the package.

Overall a good vacation. The house had everything we needed for the week and only one block from the beach. Nothing spectacular but no complaints either. Very nice for the price.

So Nice

This house was great! Just a short walk to the beach & a short ride to everything you could want/need on your trip. Though a little "dated", the house had everything we needed at our fingertips. It was fully stocked with all the utensils we needed. I would definitely recommend this house 100%.

Quiet location

The neighborhood was nice and quiet. There was construction next door, but the only day there was actual work being done was the day we checked out, so it did not disrupt our stay at all. The deck was large and had plenty of chairs to accommodate our family. The furniture in the living area is worn but appeared to be clean. We did not use the kitchen to prepare meals, so we can't comment on how it was equipped, but it was large enough for everyone to move around comfortably. The towels provided were horrible. They were prepackaged from a service so it was nice to know they were clean, but the quality was very poor. We did not call the management as it was apparent that this was simply the service they used. It would be nice if the property management made it clear at the time of booking that check in may be as late as 6 PM depending on housekeeping. We were able to get in the property shortly after 4 PM and traveled with adults so it was not a problem, but this could be a challenge for a group with small children who arrive and find they have two hours to kill. We completely understood that this is a busy season and housekeeping is doing their best, so just an FYI for other people . We went to Southport for dinner and loved Frying Pan and Provision. Overall a nice relaxing few days.
