"We had a lovely stay here. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Upon arrival we had to wait for our room to be ready and had a drink in the garden which was so peaceful. Our room was very spacious and we had alot of space to put our clothes away, the bed was nice but it was two beds put together and it was very clear, but nothing major still had the best sleep. The shower was amazing great water pressure and good temperature. "

"Unfortunately the food let this outlet down. Very poor. Staff were all very nice, very helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay but the hotel does appear to be in need of an update."

"I arrived with a blown out tyre only to find that I was actually booked into the northbound hotel not the south bound one. Staff were amazing swapped my booking over to the southbound one helped me organise a mobile tyre company and were kind and compassionate."

"Parking charge of £10 is unnecessary and should be included with room booking. Fire alarm went off 3 times as a false alarm which meant going up and down the stairs with luggage and kids as lift stopped working. The room with 2 double beds was spacious and clean The staff are great though. Particularly the lady that was on reception evening of 6 June kind and helpful. "Easy check in and the hostess was friendly and helpful. The room had pretty much anything you could wish for in it. Very well equipped room, lovely linen and a super comfy bed with different firmness of pillows. Nespresso machine, mini fridge, DAB radio, large TV, Dyson fan, Iron, Hairdrier, all great! Checkout was easy the next day. Just a shame we couldn’t have stayed for longer and made better use of everything. Many thanks! "

" I booked two rooms but there was confusion and only one room was booked and they gave us the last room. Our stay was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very polite and friendly. I would stay there again."

"The Old Vine is a wonderful property. It blends historic charm with the best of modern comfort. The breakfast is served generously and quite delicious. We must mention Mitchell who does it all and made our stay even more special. Thanks! Last but not least, the location could not be better—directly across from the cathedral, and a stone’s throw from the charming old town. Hope to return soon. "
