A Pet-Friendly Paradise Bring your furry friend along for the adventure! Pets are warmly welcomed here, and the area is rich with opportunities for outdoor bonding. Enjoy long, leash-friendly walks on the expansive Nieuwvliet beach or explore the pet-welcome trails of Het Zwin nature reserve. Nearby, several beach cafés offer water bowls and shaded spots so your dog can relax while you enjoy Zeeland’s coastal cuisine. Seaside Dining & Coastal Charm Located just steps from the beach, you’ll be surrounded by dunes, cycling paths, and quaint seaside villages. The work on the picture here is of the Belgian artist Folon and is a statue of a sitting man. While it’s not visible with high tide, I was surprised to find it almost completely buried by the sand. This might have something to do with the fact that works to add sand to the coastline were ongoing...
