Stayed at the hotel Edison because of the offer of parking and location. We went to NYac to see a Broadway show and the proximity was great. The hotel was right in times square. However, the stay had issues. First, the staff was very rude. I did not feel a warm welcome but rather the staff was very cold and uninviting. Second, the noise throughout the noise was practically unbearable. I know this is the city that never sleeps but the hotel should maintain peace for their guests. There were sounds of construction throughout the evening. Not sure what it was but it was a constant noise of drilling and dragging 24/7. Our room was in the 18 floor and had difficulty sleeping as a result of the sound of a power drill. The food/bar options were awful. Overpriced and poor quality. We had drinks late at the Rum House in the hotel the bartenders barely attended to us rather they were flirting with young women and making us uncomfortable. At one point I left and my fiancé followed after hearing the bartender say, "Give them another shot maybe they'll come home with us". Very disturbing. These bartenders clearly were predators trying to get women drunk for their advantage. I was appalled. Spent 75$ on a few beers and cheap whisky to watch disgusting behavior. The best part of the Hotel Edison is the location and proximity to things but I can't say we had a great stay.
