"On arrival I was a bit unsure and opening up the shed was difficult for me as the door is very stiff! Charles did ask if I needed help which I declined, definitely say yes! The door is really loud to close, you could not sneak a person past if you tried! 😉 First impression when opening the shed, “Man what have I done?!”, but don’t despair, got up the stairs and have a look! "A wonderful property so much space. Had everything we needed and very comfortable. Just across the road from the beach which was wonderful for taking dog for a walk no one else there. Short scenic drive into Portland. Lovely watching the ships come and go. There is no Wifi at the property."

"Very good location for quietness & sea views. 4-5 kms from town centre. 2 storeys with about 8 steps that are quite steep. The house has a lot of vintage character, lots of natural light & a good sense of space. However, some parts, although clean, still look a bit shabby. Instructions for entry & any other information were clear & accurate. We enjoyed our 2 night stay mid-March."

"Hook Wine and Linger is located close to Portland's esplanade and is a short drive from the main street. It is unfortunately also located close to a main road so the noise of cars driving past is noticeable, particularly at night. We loved the firmer mattresses on the beds. While the property does everything it promises e.g. linen and a freezer.
