The Ocean is only a short walk away at Sandpiper. Third home from the Oceanfront with no busy roads to cross. Your family will enjoy the great beach access to a wide beach, fishing, shopping and restaurants the area has to offer!

This home is located in Fisherman's Heaven with Surf fishing right out your door, the Outer Banks Fishing Pier is only a short drive away along with the Oregon Inlet and Pirates Cove Fishing Centers for offshore fishing.

The Tanger Outlet Mall, Outer Banks Mall and many other local shops are located within a few miles of this beach home. Nags Head is also full of great restaurants, many that are local favorites!

You will enjoy being on a quiet street with the smell of salty breezes and the nearby sound of waves to enchant you. Sandpiper provides a time of old Outer Banks charm, times when life was simple and a relaxing day at the beach is all that one would ask for!

The location is wonderful with great access to the beach; the screened porch great for relaxing and listening to the ocean; however, the interior needs painting badly and the screen on the door torn. the new deck is beautiful for relaxing in late afternoon. The interior has been tastefully furnished, and is quite comfortable - but the lovely floors are being damaged with inadequate care and the seating area could use more lighting. the cottage is cozy and well appointed. we would return for another stay.

Close to beach. Nice closed in deck. Floorboard on deck needs fixed. It is sagging and the right sized person will break through it. Living room furniture is very uncomfortable

Shabby Chic

The property is in need of a reno. The porch, deck and stairs are not as safe as they could be with soft boards etc. The items in the house had everything you would need and put together in a cute way. Location and access to the beach was great. The rental company needs to start using Google Docs or some sort of online doc service. I had to print out sign everything and hand mail them in. Also glad to see you had a key code so why did I need to stop at office for papers?

Nice quiet getaway

South nags head beach house

The house was third back from the beach at a very short walk. The little blue house was decorated beautifully and very clean. They had a washer and dryer which was great and a grill that we did use. Overall we Felt right at home

Great location, dog friendly

We had a great experience staying at this property. The house location is perfect for beach lovers with a very short walk to the beach. If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere but if you're looking for a relaxed, no worry spot close to the beach, this is it!! Yes the house needs a few repairs (screen door was ripped, hole in wall of middle bedroom, stains on the rug, scratches on wooden floor) but those are minor and what a lived in house looks like. We loved that it is dog friendly and has a decent size deck that our pups could sunbathers on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would most definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Like the closeness to to beach and the proximity of things around us. Good location if taking day trips up to Currituck or down to Ocracoke. Very clean when we arrived. Loved the porch. Wish it had central air but the window units were fine. Liked that it was dog friendly

Sandpiper Cottage is our fave!

We spent a wonderful week of 5/21-5/29 at the cottage. It was adorable and had everything we needed to feel right at home! The very short walk to the beach and the sound of waves crashing from the screened in porch made for relaxing mornings and evenings. Loved being able to enjoy the sunsets as well with the wraparound porch. We will most definitely return!

Sweet Rustic Small Beach House

This was the perfect little house for my cousin and me and her two little pug dogs. We loved the kitchen. We ate all of our meals at the house. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed. The closest beach access was a bit narrow for us. We used the public beach access about a block away. We loaded my beach cart and walked along the main road to the beach access. That was much easier for us two old broads!! 😊 We loved this place and we plan to return next year.

Outside of property was poorly maintained & grown over.. screens w/ holes or torn. Beautiful inside.

Brenda was very nice, but front desk rude. Had to call for weeding to be done to park. Filthy AC unit in L.Room . Cable totally stopped Day before left & Master bed way small & TV didn’t work at all in bedroom. Very old outside wood falling apart... but inside was Beautiful .

Just what we needed

First impression on this property wasn't the best but it grew on us. There was a strong dog smell from the previous tenants probably... Especially on the porch but it seemed to disappear as the week went on. I'd say it's smaller than it appears in the pictures but it was more than enough space for a couple and our dog. We ended up taking up two rooms one for our stuff and one to sleep in. We also ended up using the hallway full shower instead of the master bath both were tight spaces. I really enjoyed the screened porch which I didn't realize the property had. Kitchen- we didn't cook at all. We ate out and packed sandwiches. We only used the microwave to warm up food. Parking is tight- we had a large truck it barely fit under the porch. If the neighbors had more cars it would've been nearly impossible. I'd say two cars are max unless someone has a small car. The road/ditch leading to the property flooded most of our week not sure if this is a normal thing or not. It didn't seem to effect the neighbors cars though. Beach- short walk! uphill/downhill. Narrow path. Not too crowded in late August. You cannot view it from the house but you can hear it. Pro tip- pay to check in early if you plan to drive down early. I wish we did that we had a lot of time to burn before we could get in. Also, bring bath mats and if you're a germaphobe sheets to cover the older couches. The rental agency was great to deal with when we decided to extend our stay through the weekend. Although we had to drive all the way back north to resign a new lease. Really close to the outlets, groceries and beach stores as well as great dining (driving distance)! I recommend Sam and omies for breakfast, tale of the whale for dinner, and fish heads for drinks on the pier. To sum it up- The sand Piper is sweet and simple. A place to rest and shower with quick beach access if you're not too picky. We may consider staying here again. I should note that beach access was most important to us.. and we also booked late so our options were limited.

Its on the beach..thats what you pay for

This house is 50 feet from the beach..thats what you pay for...the house itself is not good...in window aur conditioners are loud, extremely loud. The netting on the porch is falling apart. The house itself is just old and bare...with that said the location is Prime..its right on the beach, which was very important for us..the beach there is excellent
