"This historic property has a beautiful back terrace looking over a wooded area that is quite peaceful. The hotel is very accessible to other areas of DC as there is a metro stop just 2 blocks away and it is near an area with shops and restaurants."

"Viceroy has nice rooms with basic amenities. The shower head is pretty lacking. The housecleaning staff did a good job. The front desk personnel are not very well informed. They are courteous. One of them mislead me on availability of parking. One day they had some form of jackhammer going next to my room and the receptionist did not even make an attempt to find out what it is. "It took a very long time for the shower to get hot. There are no hooks near the shower door to hang a robe or a towel. the vanity is a bit small to lay your towel on. You have to reach in to the back wall to turn the shower on and get wet while you try to turn the handle to the proper temp. No shower body wash only soap bars. The bed was very comfortable and the staff is great."

"Great location. +Close to the Metro stop. +Our room faced west so we had a great view of the sunset. -I would have preferred having curtains vs the roman shades so that I could see out without having other people in the houses next to the hotel see in. The toilet height is definitely made for short people so if you're over 5'8" or of large stature, you'll feel like you're sitting close to the floor. The staff is nice and helpful.
