We were blocked in for 20 minutes by another guest packing up that clearly saw us trying g to leave but refused to move their vehicle. But the hotel is nice and I would stay again, just not on Fourth of July."

"The staff at the hotel were very helpful and cheerful. The parking for the facility was easy and close to our room. The property was well stocked with towels, coffee/tea, complimentary drinks in your room refrigerator. The property was peaceful to lounge by the pool and swings under the trees facing the ocean."

"If you are looking to stay on St. Simon's Island do not book your stay at Epworth by The Sea. The staff was not friendly or accommodating at all. When we arrived to the property. We were left in the dark about the properties'' amenities unless we asked. The iron in the room was broken, there are spider nests and cob webs all over the place inside and outside. My biggest complaint however, is that our first morning we left the "maid service please" signage outside on the door handle that was...

"The property was simple and pretty clean. No real amenities. The room was fairly spacious and clean other than the bathroom. The shower seemed slimy and had hair in it. The breakfast was typical meh hotel breakfast. Ok for the money."

Saved a lot of money. Definitely planning on going back and staying at this location when I go to Jekyll."

"They do offer a continental breakfast from 6-10am however, they frequently run out of breakfast items before breakfast is over. While sitting an eating breakfast, I also observed staff putting away breakfast items before breakfast was ever over. They also told people they were out of items that I saw them put up. If having a good breakfast, is important to you this is not the hotel for you. It is also important to note that the ramp out to the beach is covered by sand so it is not traversible...
