"While very comfortable, the bed especially, and basically clean and useable, the cliff top room was not scrupulously clean, heavily dusty in places, had broken curtain and blind that were then not properly fixed when raised, the lit magnifying mirror in the bathroom didn’t work and had thick dust on the back, the heated towel rail didn’t and again the lower rungs not wiped clean of dust and rust. One bath robe for the two of us, which we didn’t mind or raise as we don’t use them, no towels on...

"The great western is updating rooms . We got a family room that was newly renovated and it was beautifully done, we had a sea view and street view. There was a misunderstanding on my booking but staff were very helpful and sorted it all out. The hotel has limited parking but you have the option to prebook a space. We struggled with our Irish phone to book parking at the train station as it wouldn't download the app. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice. We were only passing through so did...

"Ive stayed here a few times. The rooms are really nice but it's the second time I've stayed out of about 4 times where the linen/towels have not been clean. I came to replace the towels by ultimately had to give up due to needing to leave. The room wasnt ever refreshed for the next night stay. For the price (I paid about £400 for 2 days) it dosent really ever match up with the service, everything is too much trouble. Ive given it a few chances but there always seems to be so many friction...

"Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired."

"The bed was not comfortable, would sink in the middle, no firmness. No aircon so extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep especially on the top floor during the heatwave. Staff were very helpful and provided a fan. "Clean, nice room for a single person. My private bathroom was Cosy. The staff's were above and beyond the call of duty. They worked hard to maitain good standards. Everyone was happy with their stay that i saw. Wish I'd gone to the bar there looked fantastic the morning after a party look. I missed it. Would definitely stay again. Want a double room next time. All the rooms have private bathrooms, this is not a back packers hostel, they are families rooms."
