Riverview home at Mt. Ida with spectacular views

Welcome to your private retreat showcasing gorgeous views of the Ouachita River. Nestled on over 4 acres with mature trees and areas for kids to run and play, this beautiful home features an expansive wrap-around deck that gives the bedrooms balcony access and makes watching sunsets pure bliss. Upon entering the home, enjoy hardwood flooring in the living area with leather reclining couches, a TV with Roku, and board games, a dedicated dining room, and eat-in kitchen with plenty of cookware including pots, pans, silverware, cups, and glasses. The numerous kitchen windows overlook the river and an office is ready to host you with a comfortable futon and desk should you need to join a meeting using our complimentary WiFi. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed, full en suite bath with dual vanities, a massive closet, and bathtub shower combination. The main level also holds two additional bedrooms with queen beds, a full hall bathroom, and another half bath. Downstairs hosts two more twin beds plus a game room with a pool table and a second TV with Roku. This space also holds the full sized washer and dryer. While this home overlooks the river itself, Lake Ouachita is about 15 miles away with opportunities to rent a boat or swim. Hot Springs is an easy day trip about 45 miles east of the property. Popular Camp Ozark is minutes from the house. Get away from it all at this quiet retreat on the water with star-gazing from the comfortable deck, stunning river views, and nearby water activities.

After a year of losses, we just needed a quiet place to celebrate Christmas with what is left of our family and Lori made that happen for us. We had 10 people from 18 mo to 88 and it was an amazing visit. Everything was perfect. The towels were so luxurious and the kitchen so well stocked! The view is spectacular and this vacation home was everything we hoped for. 10 out of 10!

Home is lovely! The view off the back deck was so restful and beautiful. Every morning sitting out there for coffee was the most relaxing thing ever. I recommend this home highly. Lori was an excellent host and offered quick responses.

Amazing view!

A beautiful property with an amazing view from the large deck and comfortable furnishings. Our only complaint would be the lack of a downstairs toilet. Overall a wonderful place to get away.

Incredibly beautiful

It was fantastic. We planned a long weekend getaway to catch up with family in Hot Springs and ended up spending most of our time at the house. It was convenient for those staying in other places and large enough that when they were able to drop by we could all enjoy each others company. We will go back sooner than later.

We came for camp pick up and a birthday celebration weekend. This house was perfect!! It could accommodate all of us-9- so well, the kitchen was fantastic for cooking and the host was super quick in responding to the few questions I had. We hope to book again every year! I HIGHLY recommend this property!

Have stayed here a few times for the mountain bike race and recommended the house to friends. Lori is super responsive and always has the house looking great. We saw two bald eagles off the back deck this time as well! We will be back!

Great house for the whole family!

The house is in a beautiful secluded location, but conveniently located just a couple of minutes off the highway. The house is updated and looks even better and larger in person than in the pictures online. The owner was very responsive with questions regarding local recommendations. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Beautiful Home and Property

Four seniors enjoyed this lovely, comfortable home in the woods. The deck is a wonder in itself, overlooking the river and woods. We were there in early November and enjoyed the State Parks and gorgeous fall colors. We even saw a bald eagle on the last morning! We would love to return again to this wooded paradise!

Wedding day

We rented this property because we were having a wedding at our Vrbo house in Oden and the wedding party was using it. This house was perfect, located only 5 minutes from ours on a secluded, quiet road overlooking the Ouachita River. Beautiful location, beautiful home. Very clean, comfortable, and well supplied. Loved ou stay here and will recommend it to our friends and family when they are coming for an event and our home is full.

Great house, great owner, great view, great time

I went up for the weekend with 4 friends to do the Ouachita Challenge mtb race. The house was well equipped to cook out, the beds were comfortable. The owner made everything as easy as possible so we did not have to worry about a thing. I will definitely be back next year!

Beautiful views

My elderly parents, sister and I celebrated my parents 72nd anniversary at this gorgeous property. Our mornings and afternoons spent having coffee on the deck while overlooking the river was so relaxing. As an added bonus we picked a perfect time of the year to stay as the Fall foliage was beautiful. Thank you Lori for being so attentive. Your quick responses to my every question was very much appreciated. We will definitely return!

Would recommend!!!

We were in Arkansas for our daughter's wedding at A View to Remember. This house was very clean and comfortable. The location was great for the venue. We ate at the Mexican restaurant in Mt Ida and ordered pizza from the place next door and the food was excellent. If I were ever in the area I would definitely look into staying here again. The only disappointment was the lack of access to the water on property but several maps and access points nearby were in the house.

Beautiful and relaxing!

This is a beautiful home on a spacious property overlooking a peaceful river. We had a girls weekend here and it was just what we needed- lots of room to spread out in the home, cook some meals, go for a hike, and sit on the wrap around deck enjoying the cool temps, fall colors, and beauty. Each bedroom is comfortable. Kitchen and living room have plenty of space for a group. Highly recommend the Dairyette in Mt Ida for a milkshake and burger. We will be back!

Best Christmas Ever

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The views are amazing. The house is huge! I gave a 4 for description because there was not a hot tub. I gave a 4 on cleanliness only due to lots of dust under the basement beds. No issues. The hot water lasts forever. Great water pressure. The beds are very comfortable. We would absolutely go again

Beautiful Natural Setting

We were here with friends to see the eclipse. Beautiful natural setting to see this beautiful natural occurrence. The balcony view overlooking the Ouachita River is as good or better than the pictures. Lovely and spacious interior. Room to park two vehicles in the garage. The pool table downstairs is a bit worn and in a tight space, but still usable. This was a great place to stay away from it all out in the hills of western Arkansas.

Perfect Pre Camp Getaway

WE had a great time staying at this property. The View and porches were just the perfect spot for coffee and after dinner! It was a perfect set up for us to relax the day before dropping our kiddos off at summer camp near by. Our only issue (and it was mainly our fault for not reviewing the check out process sooner) but the trash disposal on a holiday was an issue, the dump site was closed. So just be mindful of that during check out process. We will definitely consider this property in the future! and Lori was so helpful even mailing my makeup bag to me that I left behind!

Great visit, Crystal Mining in the Mt. Ida area

Everything went excellent with the property, from check in to check out, we had plenty of room for the three of us. The property older and probably a show case in it's day. Rooms were more than adequate, and the views fantastic. We were close to several of the Crystal mines, we chose the Wegner mine and the Twin Creek Mine, I dont regret either. I did hear good things about the I Me Mine, Mine. Shopping for crystals, we found some had better prices than others, we did a pocket dig, only if we had gad a jack hammer, even the small cordless ones. . The stay was great, we all learned quite a bit, Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs was definately worth the visit.
